4th if you think Randle > Winslow, 5th if you think Winslow > Randle

4th or 3rd. over mudiay or winslow.

i think with towns or okafor, randle will only see it as motivation to be better. i dont think much would change with his development.

[quote="ALL HAIL"]Randle, by virtue of his sheer aggressiveness and phtsicaliyty will push Blake Griffin for "best PF in LA".

 Let the kid play one full game before you make these types of proclamations.

anybody see some Barkley potential in Randle? Similar sz, less fat obviously but short arms potential perimeter game and a load in the paint.

yeah, just watch his pre-season games, he bumps NBA calibre bigmen body around like it was nothing. He's so strong for a rookie.

For those of you saying he can't play with Okafor, I disagree completely. He was knocking down a mid range jumper pretty good in pre-season, and I'm sure he's even better at that now after having extended time off. He's dropped some weight, he's athletic. I would consider it really identical to an Odom/Bynum front line.

Okafor is actually a better defender at 19 years old than Bynum was.

Let these guys make mistakes and grow together. Also, drafting Okafor/Towns shouldn't stop us from going after Love or Aldridge in FA. You need a guy off the bench who can come in and play big minutes for you as a third big man. At the very least, Randle is that.

By the way, if you guys to lakers.com, you can see an interview with Randle and Trudell. In the video, Randle's doing some step back, one-leg Dirk Nowitzki type jumpers and hitting them nicely.

Barkley is 6'6" in shoes... Madsen is 6'9" in shoes... And I think Randle looks bigger than Madsen in those clips.

There's a little bit of Worthy there for me.

But I don't want to make that comparison for a rookie.

*EDIT:* Didn't even realize this was my 10,000th post... And I used it on a Worthy clip... Nice.

I see but what bout the game, in terms of play. Lot of doubters say Randle is undersize, obviously not to the tone of Barkley but could his game/impact resemble Barkley? Just a beast on the boards and able to get O even against bigger/taller defenders.

Worthy was listed as a SF/PF because of his versatility... I think Randle's game is similar in that respect. I think his ceiling is probably a strong, versitile, Hybrid SF/PF, like Barkley/Worthy...
I think if all your expecting is for him to beast on the boards and score against bigger/stronger defenders, you'll be pleasantly surprised... Randle has great handles and decent vision for his size, is a willing passer, and has a pretty solid post game. All he's really lacking is a consistent right hand at this point but he looks like he's working at it. I think he has legit star potential. I think he may be the new prototype for that 'create-4' teams are said to be looking for.
He's going to be too quick/skilled for most PF's to defend, and way to strong for most SFs.
He just needs to stay healthy and keep working... I love his attitude.
