Celtics free agent forward Brandon Bass to sign with the Lakers, a source told Yahoo Sports
not a bad vet big ... I'm biased because I grew up with his little brother

He's a solid guy add assuming it's for the exemption. Will always come in, do work, and not stir up trouble ... Came from nothing to something

I have to imagine Kelly or Sacre will be gone in some HIbbert deal. Good backup for Randle in the short term.

Still remember us vs Dallas and Phil putting Kobe on Bass at the line and Kobe beating him for the board in that epic Kobe vs Dirk game

Good God, finally a good signing. I guess this is for the room exception, not a bad price at all.

Get it done Mitch, great moves by the Lakers over the last 24 hours or so getting Hibbert,Williams and now Bass. After all the hate Mitch,Jim and the Lakers brass where getting over the last few days and rightfully so they've real rebound and made some very good moves that are very low risk and high reward and also helps build a acutal TEAM to go around Randle,Russell,Clarkson moving into the future past the Kobe era.

I think he probably starts until Randle shows that he's "ready" to take those minutes.

Updated Roster (with Nick Young probably being unloaded according to Woj):

PG - D'Angelo Russell | Jordan Clarkson
SG - Kobe Bryant | Lou Williams | Jabari Brown
SF - Anthony Brown
PF - Brandon Bass | Julius Randle | Larry Nance | Ryan Kelly
C - Roy Hibbert | Tarik Black | Robert Sacre

In other news, we are loaded in the front court and have absolutely NADA perimeter defence. We badly need a SF.
Jordan | Kobe | Kareem| Bird | Magic

Well guess we found our back up PF to replace Kelly.

We still don't have a defensive SF. This off season is starting to remind me of last year when the Lakers thought they had a legitimate playoff team after signing Boozer, Lin, Jordan Hill and Swaggy. This signing is meh.

Clarkson/Williams/Buycks?
Russell/Young/Williams
Kobe/Um... You?
Randle/Bass/'Lil Nance/Black
Hibbert/Black/Upshaw maybe

Still some holes to be filled, but I like this group for the most part. Just need to find a wing, and I'd also look for one more guard in the event Kobe or someone else in the back court goes down, and assuming that Nick is on his way out (Please!).

Good point on the 'we still don't have a defensive SF', Mr. Negative. And completely off on the 1 year fillers being thought of as a legitimate playoff team.
