Randle had already booked a trip to the Bahamas. I wonder if that had any part in it

It's not rookie vs sophomores format anymore it's USA vs International.

But yea I like the old rookie vs sophomores format better too.

shows how much i pay attention to the ASG event, i guess. lol

as per Lakersground forum, Randle reject the offer because he already planned a trip to Bahamas.

i don't know if it's true.

Being at the all star weekend is a big deal especially for young players so I'm sure he would have gone and cancelled the Bahamas trip which is something he could do in the summer as well.

Russell and Clarkson had great showings in the Rising Stars Challenge. But Russell only played 16 minutes lol but he had 22 points with 7 assist. JC knocked down 4 threes in the first half but cooled off in the 2nd half. But I do t think they played together at all. I guess Larry Drew and Byron Scott are friends or something lol.

For a guy who can throw one handed bullet passes, Russell seems to lose the ball a ton when going up for lay ups and dunks.

Really?... I don't think I've noticed that at all. Actually to me it seems like he finishes pretty well around the basket.

Or, at least I don't think I've seen it happen "a ton". Actually I don't think I've seen it happen much at all. I could be wrong though.
Talking about how bad Julius Randle is:

Oh he finishes so well because his touch is so soft but he has trouble when he gathers from a running start. Could also be down to the shot blockers bearing down on him, which might cause some intimidation.

Those two are gonna be trouble in this league in a couple of seasons. Ive been saying Clarkson is expendable, because I think Russell can survive without him and can play along anyone, but they are developing some good chemistry. I can only see them pushing each other to get better. Scott may be a jackasd sometimes, but you know this adversity is good for Russell and his teammates.
