The season is gonna be like teeth pulling again simply because we don't have a dedicated defender. When teams bog down they can go to their go to guy and we just don't have a guy for them.

Same goes for our offense...we don't have a go to guy to control the clock and tempo and get decent shots down the stretch instead of the silly "I will settle" for 3 shots this offense only rely on.

We're in major trouble here...these next 2 weeks could have the Lakers lottery bound (which was the expectation all alone), and wondering what happened. Also ball movement is lacking and selfishness is starting to creep in.

Bulls scored 29 points off Laker turnovers, 8 point lead when they coughed it up 3 straight times.

If they only give up half of that 29, we win easily. They have to start taking care of the ball and value the possession.

After further review the Lakers are still in 8th in conference.

That said the OKC game is a must win.

OKC.
Ok, so who gets the Westbrook assignment?
Gonna need some speed.
Clarkson, Nance, Randle.
If we can come back and adjust on transition defense, and then maybe we can make a statement to ourselves.

Bulls are just a great rebounding team this year. Best offensive rebounding team and 2nd overall by only .5 rebounds.

Anyways, great game. I see some of you are down about the loss, and I don't think you should be. Bulls have been really good so far this year, and should be a strong team all season health permitting. I still see the Lakers as a playoff team. Young guys still learning how to play, but I think as the season goes along, you will see them pick it up. Plus, I'm sure Ingram will get better too as the season goes along.

1. We need a good wing defender.
2. Bulls are just too seasoned as a team for us to be picking them off on an off night.

We just lost to the worst shooting team in the NBA. We should have won against Wade-less Bulls at home, but we're back at mediocrity again. We ain't doing anything special this season with this terrible season. I hope Mitch trades Deng ASAP, what a cancer.

What cost us the game was the poor performances from D'Angelo + Clarkson. Throw in the turnovers and the LITTLE effort on defense, and this explains why we took the L. The first half was looking great, besides the lack of defense from both teams. Move on to the second half, we just laid an egg. This game was in our hands, but we choked it away.

This game reminded me of the byron scott era, no defense, no ball movement. I think we lose our next four games.

I think the early wins will haunt Luke a little. People started talking 8th seed....wins quickly became 'expected'.

All part of the ride. Gonna have rough spots, followed by highs. Last night was disappointing, but I think everyone has to remember that disappointments are part of a young team. Clarkson had an awful night. It happens. Ingram still has yet to really find that shooting groove. Russell hasn't found his role that he's comfortable in. I don't think Luke has found his sweet spots with rotations yet. Still plenty of work ahead of us. This stretch will bring the players heads back down to reality. And hopefully the fans as well.

I feel Luke needs to give Ingram a greater role on the offensive end. We need to set him up for some 10-15 step back jumpers. You cant expect your best defender to bust his butt and not get awarded on the offensive end.

DLo settles for 3 point shots. He needs to get in the lane and get in the paint for high percentage shots or kicking it out to an open man.

This is a game we weren't supposed to win at the beginning of the year... Most would have called it a sure blow-out if they hadn't seen the GSW and maybe the Hawks gemes... But we kept it close.
Teams are adjusting to our pace and our depth... It's not going to be as easy to make runs now. But we're making good teams work really hard to put us away... Sometimes that's all you can do...

On to the next one...

I got a good view of the way Butler performs.
EXCELLENT off contact movement.
Can't ask for much better in a player with his size who plays aggressively with high results.
The Lakers actually started playing in a better rhythm during the second quarter.
I thought that effort would carry over into the second half; but it didn't.
I think Walton and staff were a bit too late in reacting to the bulls energy early on.
Nance would have been a better choice to start on Butler.
Just my opinion after being there

I'm not sure we need to look for individual defenders. Defense isn't really an individual aspect of the game. It takes time and effort to create a cohesive team defense. Some teams with less than great athletes have had very good defenses so it's not all about how great one person is... it's more about how much time and effort is expended.

That said, our offense under Luke is pretty far ahead of the defense. Nothing out of the ordinary for a team in a new system and especially with youngsters.

The issue that is bothersome at times is a lack of effort. It also seems like our guys are lost at times which is also a lack of knowing the system. Again, early in the season and nitpicking a team that has overachieved to this point. Baby steps.....

Those two quick turnovers by DLo which gave them the lead was the turning point of the game. Some times it is very hard to watch Dlo play with those very careless turnovers.
