Russell's shooting when he's trying to be assertive is limited to attempts at deceptive 3's and some floaters in the lane. He just can't get to the hoop an finish or impose himself on a defender at this level. When he's the primary offensive focus down the stretch we usually end up with a difficult look if he's shooting.
Our problem last night was that Lou was off. We have a difficult time when he's not able to help close out the games.
Clarkson had a decent rhythm last night but got only one shot while the game was still in doubt down the stretch and that was a desperation 3.
It seems that we need Young and Williams to have a good game along with one of Russell or Clarkson. If 2 of them are off even a little it seems we lose just about every time.
