From Statsalt (https://statsalt.com/games/nba/11-29-2023/los-angeles-lakers-vs-detroit-pistons-prediction-4435/)

“The culmination of several pieces resulted in the Lakers suffering a 44 point loss at the hands of Philadelphia. Los Angeles shot just 25% from downtown whole the defense allowed the 76ers t convert at a near 48% clip. The Lakers were also outgunned down low, being out rebounded by 16 despite scoring 58 points down low. The Lakers were led in scoring by LeBron James, who finished with 18. Anthony Davis finished with a double-double as he tallied 17 points and 11 boards. Los Angeles comes into this contest averaging 111.8 points per game, which lands them at 20th in the league. The Lakers have done most of their damage in the painted area as their 55.7 points in the paint per game is good for 5th in the NBA. The offense has also excelled in transition and they've been able to turn steals into quick points. To the tune of 15.5 pregame. While the Lakers have shot well on the whole, sitting 3rd in shooting percentage, they have struggled from long range. Not only have they rarely taken shots from deep, but when they do, they have been falling at a rate just above 33%. What has compounded this has been Los Angeles' slow pace of play. At current, they take the fewest shots in the league. This isn't a particular bad thing, but when there's a lack of shooting efficiency, it can take the Lakers out of the game. Along with the slow pace, Los Angeles has been one of the weakest teams on the offensive glass and are largely limited to single shot trips up the court.

On the defensive end of the court, Los Angeles is allowing 113.7 points per game, when lands them at 17th in the league. The Lakers have defended the paint around league average, but they been able to alter shots down low effectively as their six blocks per game is good for 6th in the NBA. Not only have the Lakers been able to swat shots, but they've done so without fouling. Foes are getting to the line at the lowest rate in basketball as they get fewer than 19 shots at the line per game.

Just as the offense has been tepid from deep, the defense has struggled to get stops on the outside and with 14 3-pointers allowed per contest, the Lakers are bottom five. They haven't been able to turn teams over all that frequently, nor have they closed possessions out on a consistent basis. It'll be key here for the Lakers to keep the Pistons off the offense glass and use their steals to create quick baskets.”

Lol. :D

It used to be that three paragraphs are allowed. Stats-alt were kind enough to write long paragraphs. I actually wanted to copy the Detroit bit, too, but I sure don’t want to go to jail.
