It’s time for us Lakers fans to capitulate and give him his due props. What he is doing is unsurpassed and absolutely incredible.

To have played that many minutes and still be able to compete as a starting star on any NBA team, and to dominate a world class opponent like Kawhi Leonard defensively in the fourth quarter last week, while taking over the game offensively… At his age and mileage, it’s nuts!

Let’s hope that he can play with defensive intensity for the rest of the regular season, without burning out. When he idles on defense, we can’t beat anyone. When he digs in on defense, we can beat anyone. See NBA cup. We are only as good as his defense. Avoid the play-in like the plague.

Yep. My feelings on blowing the team up are well documented. But I still hold it was a good thing he came here. I don't remember my exact words, but I said that hopefully we can get a great (or really good) Lebron for 3 years (of his initial 4-year deal) and a semi-decent 4th year...and it would be worth it. Well, he and Davis won a chip, and here in his 6th season, he's still putting up MVP numbers. It's nuts. And for what it's worth...I don't really feel like the guy mails it in. Yeah, he's not 26 anymore, and yeah, you can point to a handful of plays proving me wrong. But the guy really puts it all out there.

Im not sure if he could get to 50k, but I think he could give it a serious run, if he wanted to. All the while he's #4 all-time in assists, and within 2-3 games, he'll be #30 all-time in rebounds. If he's around for another 2 years, he'll prob crack the top 20. It's crazy.

Yeah, I didn’t like him and Rich Paul coming here, was against it. Then when I realized how he played high level defense, I eventually caved. After the championship and after Rich Paul toned down his Klutch agenda, I stopped calling him LeBronze and Le Groin and stuff. When he plays full throttle defense he is still a very good defender at his old age.

82 games x 20 points is 1640. He’d have to put that up for years to reach 50K. It would be incredible if he got to 45K, in my view.

Yeah your right. 50k ain't happening. But 45 seems pretty doable. If he plays another 3 seasons after this one, and gets 24ppg - 20-ppg and 16ppg those seasons, he'd make it. He's gotta play all 82 of course. But he does have about 20 games left this season. At current rate, he'd get about 500points. Give him a little buffer.

I remember discussing this about 10-11 years ago on a different board regarding Kobe, and if he'd pass Kareem. At the time, it looked like a forgone conclusion. I remember breaking it down, and figuring it would take about 4 years (I think he was about 500 away from Jordan at the time). I had done a pretty detailed breakdown, and everything. I was really excited, as I thought for sure he was gonna do it. Especially the way he was still just churning out points. Turned out to be a lesson on unhatched eggs.

Awesome accomplishment. Bron has given his ALL for this franchise and organization. He has led these young kids and provided the Locker room Leadership we needed when we were looking at Mozgov and Deng for guidance. Bron stepped up and took it. So imma give this guy his due.

Well said. Those were depressing times for the P&G. Turmoil aside....getting Magic (and subsequently Lebron) into the fold certainly turned things around.
