How could someone give Kobe an A- after that series?

Even BSPN was drooling over that for more than a week since the series got over.

Lakers Coaching Staff - A+

How does a 50 game winning team from the western conference, A team with 2 of the top scoring players and a former defensive player of the year get swept?

Oh yea...

Thx Phil!!

At this point, the Lakers have made the strong claim that they are a legit contender, and they should be looked upon in that light. From now on, I'm only counting rings.

don't get too cocky dude, the nuggetts are crap. they will never win a championship as presently constituted because they can't play defense, don't listen to their coach and rarely play as a team.

Lakers swept a 50-win team from the West. You might think they are crap but don't discount what the Lakers did to them.
I doubt the Nuggets would have been swept by the Jazz.

Well, A's and B's and F's? Also, in recent history, there's been Chucky Atkins, Tierre Brown, Von Wafer, Smush Parker and being eliminated by the Suns to be accounted for...

Now, it's suddenly a different story.

you're right in that you can't discount a sweep against any team, and i give credit to the lakers for that.

on the other hand, i think the jazz would have handled them like we did during the regular season. it very well could have been a sweep, but who knows.

I think if I were to write a thesis on why Kobe is the best player ever I would use the fact that some of you guys give him an A- on the first round when they swept the team and he averaged 33.5 points 6 assists plus 5 rebounds plus and 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals and shot 50% from the field.
Anyway

Kobe A+
Gasol A+
Luke A+ I am not a Walton fan so I believe it.

I doubt it would have been the sweep. Yes the Rockets tecknically were considered better and had a better record but I don't see them taking us to 6 games like they did the Jazz. I saw a few things about the Jazz game that made me really think what will be the difference of how this will be.

1.If Odom can keep playing defense like a real pf.
2.If Deron stays human
3.Carlos Boozer has been in a slump, if he stays in that slump then we could end this series very early. If not a game 6 is almost certain.

Wtf does kobe have an A- on most of your grades? I even saw some poster give luke walton a higher grade then kobe, and in most gasol had higher grade than kobe? Remember, w/o him we would've lost this series and its the attention he brings that gives these other players open shots.

So here are some realistic grades

Kobe A+
Gasol A
Odom A-
Luke B+
Sasha B+
Fisher B-
Radman B-
Farmar C+
DJ C
thats about it with DJ being the least active in terms of minutes.
The only man that can stop Kobe Bryant is . . . Phil Jackson.

Ridwann,
I think were judging them on how good they should play to. For example if DJ would have avg 8 points he would have gotten an but if Kobe would have gotten 8 points it would have been a F. I still agree that Kobe should have an A++.
Odom did not play as good as Luke and for there talent and whats expected Walton surely was better then Odom yet you gave Odom a A- and Walton a B+? Thats off.
