Re: it is finally here: the Kwame Brown poll
I've always liked Kwame and I'd defiantly be in favor of this move. He was injured or coming on injury most of this year, which is why he was so out of shape and played poorly. Solid man to man defender, has improved his help defense (still needs work), can box out, a solid guy off the bench. Plus, for all his problems offensively, he isn't as inept as people like to make him out to be, he know how to read defenses well and is a surprisingly good passer, which can only help in the triangle offense. So yeah, if he is in shape, pick him up for the vets min., it would be a good signing.

I hope you guys are voting on what you think will happen to Kwame this summer and not on what you think the Lakers should do about him.

Well in that case, I think Kwame signs the MLE with the Bobcats and reunites with his old buddy.

I'd sign him with either the LLE or the veteran's minimum. I think him and Gasol would complement each other real well. You got your offensive specialist (Gasol), your defensive specialist (Kwame) and your player who does a little bit of everything (Bynum). Combine that with Ronny and a possible healthy Mihm and we could have a really nice front court rotation.

IMHO, Kwame wont contribute in our most glaring need - toughness.
The guy is soft as a piece of tissue.

Kwame would be good for 10 minutes or so but he is a liability as long as Phil is the coach. He could go back to starting Kwame which means losses. I believe after the trade we won 22-5 because of not only Gasol but addition by subtraction Kwame Brown.

The days of Phil starting Kwame over Bynum are over. Phil used Kwame to mess with Bynum's head and keep his motivation going, I don't think Bynum needs anymore motivation for playing hard.

Re: it is finally here: the Kwame Brown poll
Kwame will get alot of consideration from teams. Not starting minutes and or big deals. But his market will be around the LLE/BAE.
If we are interested in him, I would guess we would have the first crack at him. But I would guess there would be a handful of teams that would want him as a back-up --back-up center-- who plays D.

I doubt it will happen..............................you don't walk back to the past, and the Lakers rarely bring back past players anyway. The only two they brought back in my 30 something years of watching them is AC Green back in 2000 and D-Fish .
