It's Time

Post#1 » by JimMurray » Tue Sep 2, 2008 7:30 pm

It's time fellas, we all saw what happened in the finals. I held on to the belief for a long time that perhaps Kobe was on par with MJ, but he's just not...

and you know what.....that ok.

Kobe is entering the twilight of his prime, he's no longer the explosive 27 year old who averaged 35.1 for 82 games. Perhaps Lebron has surpassed Kobe as the leagues best player, who knows, doesn't matter.

Kobe Bryant is one of the two greatest shooting guards to ever play. Period. There's MJ, Kobe, the Logo, and everyone else.

Kobe is not finished writing his resume and perhaps he still has some memoirs to write before the sun sets on his career. What he has done in his first 12 years in the league has established him as one of the best players of all time, enough to where he took the "Is he better than MJ" argument on a 12 year roller coaster. No one else in the league could say that. No one. Not Lebron, not Wade, not Harold Minor, not Grant Hill, not Vince Carter, not Chris Paul, not Steve Nash, not Paul Pierce, not Michael Redd, not Ray Allen, not .......

It's time to stop making these silly comparisons and enjoy the last few years of Kobe Bryant. There will never ever be another.
