Attending a game this upcoming season?

Post#1 » by DubaLakers » Tue Sep 23, 2008 8:21 pm

I haven't been to a game in a few years, $. I really want to make an effort to go this season to at least one. What are the top three games you'd like to see this season?

1. BOS
2. POR
3. MEM

I like the roster of both these young teams. Portland always plays the Lakers like it's game 7 of the finals, they hate us up there. More the fans than the players, but it translates. I'm pretty sure I won't have a problem getting MEM tickets over the other two.

I try to go to at least 15 games a year plus 5 away games.

With HD and my flat screen, why would I want to go pay for those prices. When the game is over, I am home and no traffic, or headaces.

I just found out that my Christmas gift from my parents COULD be a trip to Toronto to see the Lakers vs The Raptors on Feb. 4th. It would be my first NBA game ever.

Hopefully it happens.

I'd like to stay a 4 day weekend and see a game. I assume it would cost me a few grand to rent a car a few days. Round trip flight. And for the actual tickets.

I got the same present last year. The whole atmosphere in the Air Canada Centre is amazing. Its so much different than watching it on TV.

1Boston (For obvious reasons)
2Suns (Got to see what Bynum does to Shaq this time 'round) 8-) I don't think they've played against each other since that incident three years ago. Have they? Either Shaq's been injured, or Bynum has. That's kind of weird if you ask me.
3 Hornets (To watch CP3)
4 Rockets (Games against Houston are always good. And I hope someone smacks Rafer Alston after that stunt he pulled last year against Sasha and us)
5 Portland (To watch Bynum destroy Oden)

I'm a Warrior fan I'm going to the preseason game against the Thunder. I'm going to be wearing my Seattle Supersonics Gary Payton jersey.

I went to some entertaining games last year. I saw Indiana, Washington, Sacramento (twice), Clippers, Blazers, and the Bulls play in Oakland.

I also saw a few Kings games out in Sacramento too. Totally different kinds of crowds. I saw Caron Butler posterize Kevin Martin last year in Arco. I rose out of my seat and the Kings fans around me kind of looked at me funny.

I watched Washington, Minnesota, Warriors, Memphis, and the Lakers in Arco last year. I love their parking lot a lot better than Oakland. It's so much easier to get out of there after the game.
