Did anyone watch the game Warriors vs Cs game today? I'd like to know if he logged some minutes on KG and how effective that was. I remember him completely ravage Nowitzki for a playoff series and that kind of toughness is always welcome.

St. Nick, I like that trade.

St.Nick wrote:S-Jax would immediately become your third best player. The only way you'd get him is if we got Odom back and if we were able to trade Maggette, as well, as part of a rebuild.

Here is my idea:

GS trades: S-Jax, Maggette, Marcus Williams
GS Receives: Odom and Jordan Farmar

LAL Trade: Odom
LAL Receive: Stephen Jackson, Anthony Parker, Kris Humprhies

TOR Trades: Anthony Parker and Kris Humphries
TOR Receives: Maggette and Marcus Williams

TOR
Calderon/M.Williams/Ukic
Maggette/H.Adams
Kapono/Moon
Bosh/Bargnani/Graham
J.ONeal/Jawai/

LAL
Fisher/Vujacic
Kobe/A.Parker
S-Jax/Ariza/Walton
Gasol/Radman/Humphries
Bynum/Mihm

GS
Monta/Farmar/CJ
Crawford/Marco/Morrow
Azu/Randolph
Odom/Wright
Andris/Turiaf/Kurz

You left Farmar out in LAL's outgoing, I assume he was meant to go out and am OK with it especially if we get Lue.

I like the trade as is, but it leaves us weak at that important 3rd big spot. I have a quick and easy solution to that which I am confident OKC would jump on. We do that trade, but send Anthony Parker to OKC for Joe Smith, so we become:

PG- Fisher / Vujacic
SG- Bryant / Vujacic / Jax
SF- Jax / Ariza / Walton / Vlad
PF- Gasol / Smith / Powell / Vlad
C- Bynum / Gasol / Mihm

or we are even stronger if the Lue deal goes down also:

PG- Fisher / Lue / Vujacic
SG- Bryant / Vujacic / Jax
SF- Jax / Ariza / Walton / Vlad
PF- Gasol / Smith / Powell / Vlad
C- Bynum / Gasol / Smith

I am in love with that roster, somebody get this done yesterday.

We can't afford to lose Odom's rebounding, in my opinion.

i think its obvious the lakers would never acquire jackson AND maggette. thats how teams turn into the thomas knicks and the dunleavy clippers.

Yea Lamar's rebounding would be a big lose but hopefully Bynum and Gasol would be able to get more rebounds to make up for it if Jackson was in the line up.

Jackson hit for 28 pts last night as the Warriors' knocked off the Celtics. As a side night Ronny had 14 pts 8 reb and hit 10-10 from the ft line.

I also like that trade w/ the Raps as a third team taking Maggette. I would add though that the Lakers' could hopefully then peddle someone like Luke to get a big like a Reggie Evans. Just to give some hard foul dirty play/ grit. That team would challenge the Bulls 72 wins IMO. Lakers' are missing that 3rd consistent scorer and S Jax fits the bill perfectly. I would also note the Kris Humphries is a really solid player, he hits the offense glass and has a nice J from 12 feet.

Fish, Lue
Kobe, Parker
Bynum, Evans
Gasol, Hump,Powell
Ariza, Sasha, Vlad.

I don't think a Walton for Evans deal would happen (why would Philly do this?), but as I mentioned before, OKC could really use a player like Parker, and with Vujacic in the fold we don't need him at all. After this trade though we would need another big like you said. To me the choice is obvious, send Parker to OKC for Joe Smith. Since Odom isn't playing any SF for us anyway (and isn't getting over 30 minutes a night) Smith could be a very good replacement for Odom at a very low cost. So here would be the updated, simplified depth chart assuming the Warriors trade w/ the Parker for Smith swap added along with the Lue deal. Projected minutes in parenthesis (minutes based on non blow outs).

PG- Fisher (28) / Lue (12) / Vujacic (8)
SG- Bryant (36) / Vujacic (8) / Jax (4)
SF- Jax (30) / Ariza (18) / Walton (depth) / Vlad (depth)
PF- Gasol (26) / Smith (22) / Powell (depth)
C- Bynum (35) / Gasol (13) / Smith (depth)
Inactive- Humphries, Yue

That looks like a serious championship rotation to me.

You're right LOL.

Change that second round pick to a future first round pick. I think getting a very good talent with an expiring contract (Odom), decent prospect (Yue) and a future draft pick would be enough for an above average swingman and backup bigman.
