Sounds like things went well Tuesday. Meeting again today.

Dr. Positivity, I hope you are right. Not sure I am as confident just yet. Want to hear good things about their meeting today. If they make good progress today, we may be heading towards some hockey again.

Yep. Fehr steps back in after sitting out 2 days when progress is made, and in 1 hour, it all goes to hell in a handbasket. No set time for the parties to renew talks. Fehr is making me sick to my stomach. Wish the players would revolt and fire his a$$ and come to their senses. I get my hopes up for a couple days, and Fehr comes in and dashes them.

Fehr just keeps telling them to holdout. Freakin' Fehr.

Just tuned. I just saw him leave the podium. Daly is now speaking.

EDIT: He's back. He does look angry.

Some sad, sad tweets from a Denver Post writer.

As I have said many times, Fehr is the problem and will continue to be the problem until the players finally come to their senses and overrule him or fire him or both.

http://espn.go.com/blog/nhl/post/_/id/2 ... -to-a-deal

Good article about where we are in negotiations and where the major sticking points are at the moment. Seems that Fehr came in late with something that really pissed off the Owners. Then the # of years is a sticking point that both sides need to give some on to get a deal. Compromise there, and Fehr drops this crap he threw out there, and this can still be done. But the Players are going to have to take control of things on their end. If Fehr keeps control, this goes nowhere.

Agreed. I was watching Sportsnet and their 'insiders' were saying that Fehr keeps telling the players to hold out so they can get something better. They also said that if Fehr wasnt involved, they wouldve had a deal done already and we all wouldve been watching hockey.

Cancel more games, and they come back to the table. Talks set to start again on Wednesday. I just wonder if the way things fell apart after Fehr brought up something that pissed off the NHL, and then more games being cancelled, may have caused the Union to pressure Fehr to get back to the table and get this thing done? Would love to be a fly on the wall durig that conversation. I honestly dont care what the terms are or who feels which side won. I only care about getting the game back. Bottom line. Give me back my hockey.

Anyone know why they chose a secret location? Does it really make a difference where it is?

Probably to keep all of the hockey fans with torches and pitchforks away since this is so ridiculous.

Talk of decertifying the Union, NHL filing preemptive suits,,,, this is starting to get uglier and uglier.

In a situation where only the lawyers come out ahead, you need to step back and re-evaluate. Players are being led by someone with his own agenda and they need to snap out of the trance they're under.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.
