Hawks fans live below me so it was pretty funny watching the game on mute and then listening to their reactions.

Canes going to need big play from back up Ellis and recent call up Peters. Cam Ward out for 6-8 weeks with a knee and back up goalies have a major task ahead.

Hard hitting analysis on the Blackhawks' streak on Sportscenter the last few days. Really proud of them for making the effort.

Peters steps up for the Canes and stops 37 of 40 to help Canes win 4-3. Very big win for the Canes.

Its not like he's made bad moves. He's drafted well and a done a job with the few free agents he's brought in, but it seems he lacks the aggression needed to take this team to the next level. This team needs two things, a clear cut top two defenseman and a big tough 3rd line center who can win draws.

Its not hard to draft well when you have the first overall pick. Maybe beside the Justin Schultz signing, he hasnt done much right or much wrong. He hasnt made a lot of moves. The team has needs, and has since he has been there, and he has still not addressed them. He hasnt done anything there except lose. He has had Mediocre results year after year. Dont see why he wouldnt be fired.

The Justin Schultz signing was easy as well. He's from Canada and he knew he was going to be a 1st liner right away. He wasn't going to have to play in the minors or struggle to get minutes on the 2nd or 3rd line, he was clear cut right away the best defenseman they had.

True, and he guys like Gretzky and Coffey to help him.

The Oilers are making no progress as him as the GM. Time for a change.

He's drafted well with his later picks as well. Pitlick, Bunz, Rieder, Zharkov and the crap load of young and talented d-men he's added are going to be difference makers in a few years.

I do agree he's needs to make moves. But as long as Kevin Lowe is part of this organization I really doubt its going to happen, he's still butt hurt about Pronger forcing his way out and he's scared that's going to happen again.

True. He has done a pretty good job with his drafting, but some would say that the scouts should get most credit for that.

We don't chat much Blue Jackets in these parts, but Sergei Bobrovsky has been filthy the last few weeks. Could he be an actual steal for them?

Canes added depth today by picking up forward Adam Hall, just released by Tampa Bay. He is eligible to play tonight vs Tampa Bay.

Yup, he been really good for them. Maybe to good. *cough* tank *cough*

It was a nice move by Howson, and I was little surprised Philly dealt him away, with their goalie situation.
