Adidas Authentic jersey question

Ok guys, from what I have seen on the NHL.com Store website, it looks like all Adidas Authentic jerseys come with nameplates, even the teams that don’t use nameplates and have the players names individually sewn, like the Red Wings. I heard somewhere that supposedly if you get a custom jersey made, they hand sew the name on the back, and just use the nameplates for actual real players jerseys. Has anyone had any experience with this or bought an Adidas Authentic from NHL.com? I want to get a custom Red Wings jersey made of my favourite player ever, Sergei Fedorov, but I don’t want to get it then find out they’ve used a nameplate when it arrives.
