4 deals total:

Kings sell #36 to the Pacers (Orlando Johnson)

Trailblazers sell #41 to Brooklyn (Tyshawn Taylor)

Sixers sell #54 to Brooklyn (Tornike Shengelia)

Mavs sell 55 to Lakers (Darius Johnson-Odom)

The one that jumps out at me is DJO to LAL, I think he fits in there and is worth the flier. That and that Sac could really have used to keep the pick, and take Quincy Miller.

Anyone with any takes on any of them? Nets fans happy with your two new players? Do any of these deals matter?

DJO to Lakers is a low-risk, high-reward buy. It was a targeted and specific purchase for a skillset the Lakers needed quite a bit.

DJO is a gutsy (based on interviews) baller that likes to score (18.3ppg at Marquette) and would prove to be a gem if he and Goudelock would develop into a chucking 2nd unit. Just what we need, people that can score.

I'm excited with TT. Some sites had him as 1st round talent and on par with the other PGs. He's also a senior who looks to be able to contribute and his specialty is defense.

I think the plan is to groom as a 3rd PG behind hopefully D.Williams and Kidd and hope Farmar opts out, or trade him. He could make for an excellent pairing with either Kidd or Brooks in the 2nd unit.

Don't know much about the Euro's admittedly but the Nets have invested heavily in international scouting and 1 of them played in the Turkish league like Deron did, so I assume they know his game.

I really like the Orlando Johnson pick. Helps makes up for the Plumlee pick

Pacers' plan I think is for Plumlee and OJ to essentially replace Amundson and Barbosa, who are both FAs. Both players are supposedly ready to contribute right away, though I must say I have huge doubts on Plumlee. Hope he proves the naysayers wrong.

Looks like Pritchard is back to his pick-buying ways. And we're fine with that as long as the owner is willing to bankroll him.

Anyone knows what the $$$ amounts involved are? I would think that the #36 would have cost close to the full $3m.

Considering the Nets bought two picks 41+54, I'm guessing #41 was about $2m and #54 around $1m as they could only spend $3m total.

I would guess the 54th pick was closer to 500k.

It cost the Pacers 500k to move up from 56 to 51 in a pick swap in 2010. I would assume buying a pick would cost around $1 million.

In case anyone was still wondering or cared....

League sources say the Nets paid out $2.75 million on Draft Night to secure the draft rights of Tyshawn Taylor, taken at #41, and Toko Shengelia, taken at #54. The Nets paid the Trail Blazers $2 million for Taylor's rights and the 76ers $750,000 for Shengelia's

So, take my 500k, your 1m, cut the difference and we have the correct number spent on #54. :)

Seconder rounders are pricey these days.
