Why?
KD 44
Eason 20
4 vet mins 10
TPMLE 6
That's 80 and 15 man roster.
I also think Eason will be haggled down to 20 per and start at 17-18

I think season won’t take anything right now under $25m? Maybe he can be haggled down next season, but I think it’d take until October and the market won’t wait.

I also think we might see the KD and maybe Eason contracts front loaded a bit to help when Amen needs his extension, which Stein reported that Houston is planning on being around a max.
I think if they offered him Jabari's deal he'd take it but I've heard they don't want to offer even $20M AAV so far because of injury history

With that level of offer he's going to go to RFA. A healthy, in-form season would push his next contract well over that level.

I don't think there is anyway one of DFS or Capella isn't traded at the deadline, likely Capella. Capella is fine and all, but it just never made sense to have a third string center the difference between a tax team and a non tax team.

I think Stone is trying to get the numbers exactly right, to fit in everything just under the tax, and this includes a Tari Eason extension

I will always think back to the Durant trade where the Green and Brooks salary amount was exactly enough to have Brooks playoff bonus flip from likely to unlikely, and make it both sides as receiving more than they sent out.

Love him or hate him, but Stone has shown a masterclass in cap management.

Other than signing DFS and Clint Capella. Unless both crack the rotation somehow. Still possible for DFS ( even if Houston is deep at forward) but less likely for Capella.

I speculate those two contracts match the money needed to match a certain trade target he has in mind.

We shall see.

If he pulled that off that would be good. Houston is exciting with youth and with Durant obviously would be a threat anyhow . A shame FVV is injured. Not sure how that impact his trade plans.

They're both gonna play. Dfs might start once he's back. Capela is gonna get minutes because they want to play a lot of double big and don't want Adams to play a lot in the regular season
