I don't like any of these deals to tbh.

1, the Hawks shouldn't trade Marv for Haywood IMO
2a, I don't think the Suns go for that
2b, I wouldn't give up Josh Smith for Nash+Hill, and Lopez could be available for much cheaper
3, the Grizz ain't touching that she-it.

I am just tired of this team. they are good but they can't win anything as they are built. this team needs a true starting quiltiy point and a true Center with more debt on the bench. if we can move some pieces to obtain all of that, I am all for it. I don't want to trade Smoove..... but I feel we have to.

I don't like dealing Josh Smith either, but what do you think of this? I posted it in another thread rebuilding the Nets:

Hawks Trade: Josh Smith, Bibby, Mo Evans
Receive: Devin Harris, Kaman, 2012 Rox or Warriors 1st (whichever highest/best)

Kaman/Zaza/Etan
Horford/Joe Smith/Marv
Marv/JJ/vet min
JJ/Crawford/Crawford
Harris/Teague

The Hawks upgrade the PG position significantly while landing a legit C that can move Horford to his natural position. The Hawks would still retain the assets for another consolidation deal.

Clips Trade: Kaman
Receive: T. Murphy (EC), $3 million

DeAndre/T.Murphy
B.Griffin/C.Smith/R.Gomes
Aminu/R.Gomes/R.Butler
E.Gordon/Foye/W.Warren
B.Davis/Bledsoe

The Clips land a player more suited to a back up role. Murphy would be the perfect first big off the bench and comes on a large expiring contract. If the Melo saga ends up that he doesn't get traded anywhere, he's be stupid not to consider the Clippers (and L.A) with their ridiculously good core. The Clippers could even give the Nuggets a "consolation" prize deal consisting of their lotto pick, the 2012 Wolves pick and some salary filler (either Gomes or C.Smith).

Nets Trade: Devin Harris, T. Murphy, 2012 Warriors/Rox 1st (whichever highest/best)
Receive: Josh Smith, Mike Bibby, Mo Evans (EC)

The Nets get a young PF that plays hard on both ends of the floor while getting a decent veteran back-up PG on a short-term deal and an expiring wing

I like the point upgrade, but I wouldn't want to give up Smoove for Kaman. I like him but he has some health issues and he is not that athletic so loosing Smoove would hurt all the more. with my trading Smoove atleast we get a Center who is not injuried often in Haywood and a young athletic big in Lopez. With your trade if Kaman is gets hurt we would be screwed.

I like how none of these trades make us contenders. Pass on all of them.

It really is Nash or Calderon or Beno Maravich or Caveman or bust for the Hawks

I think the team would be better off with just your 2nd trade. An uptempo lineup of Nash/JJ/Hill/Smith/Horford with Williams, Bibby and Lopez off the bench would be a very tough team to matchup with.

Unfortunately for the Hawks, I see no reason why the Suns would just give away Nash like that. Hell, Lopez alone gets you that late 1st, so that basically leaves Teague for Nash...
