Post#1 » by habibadobe » Sat May 21, 2011 11:53 pm

Something we have been kicking around in another thread thought i would repost with Sacramento added in to see what they think.

Utah Out: Millsap /Harris/ pick #12
Utah In: Webster / pick #2

Philadelphia Out: Iguodala
Philadelphia In: Milicic / Millsap / #12

Minnesota Out: Milicic / Webster / #2 / #20
Minnestoa In: Iguodala / #7

Sacramento Out: #7
Sacramento In: Harris / #20

Let me know how that looks to everyone.

Philly's fit is bad. Sacramento's value is bad.

Not bad for Minny. I know a lot of fans would rather use the #2 to try and get Bogut and Iggy with Johnson or Beasley.

I don't see Harris being a good fit with Evans.

The value is too good to say no. I wouldn't let the fact that 32 year old Elton Brand who could be traded in a year is on the roster change that.

I'm not sure that's the case though. Doesn't this trade also push out Thad as well? I mean, he can try to play SF but he's not going to be as good. I'd be open to it if Millsap were going elsewhere or we could find a way to dump Brand without giving up much. If that pick finds a way to be in the top 8, or if someone we really like is there, I guess it could be done.

This is bad for the kings and a bit too good for the jazz.

The jazz need to take on some salary here they shouldnt be getting that much capspace and devin harris isnt worth taking on his salary and dropping that many spots in the draft.

Change it like this

Udrih to the jazz the 12th pick to the kings and the 20th pick to the 76ers

^^That is not fair value for the Kings. Taking on Harris salary and moving from the 7th to the 20th isn't fair value. Harris is not worth that much.

Harris and Evans is a terrible backcourt combination. Both can't shoot a three pointer to save their lives. Plus the argument against taking on Harris's salary and moving from 7 to 20 is compelling. Kings say see ya later.

This is a brilliant trade, brilliant.
Sactown would rather have the seven pick then Harris, who they see as a negative asset
They are in permanent rebuild mode, if they don't want to make this trade i understand, but to say harris can't shoot the three, is way off the mark, and harris is 100times the distributor that reke is, who is by far the worst passing pg in the league.

I don't think Kings fans are saying that Harris is a negative asset in a vacuum, just that they don't like the fit with Harris & Evans in the same backcourt.
Of all the preposterous assumptions of humanity over humanity, nothing exceeds most of the criticisms made on the habits of the poor by the well-housed, well-warmed, and well-fed.
