Landry Fields for Luke Ridnour

Post#1 » by crazybranman360 » Fri May 11, 2012 2:00 pm

Knicks Trade: Landry Fields S&T for about 3 years 15 million (5 per year)
T-Wolves Trade: Luke Ridnour

Why?
T-Wolves they need wing players, have too many PG's, and Fields would be a great fit next to Rubio as either starting or being a 3rd wing off the bench

Knicks need a PG. Whether its a backup PG, a starter to replace Lin, or someone to give competition to Lin, they're all needs. Ridour is a perfect fit for this team.

Who says no?

Someone might give it to him, but Landry Fields is NOT worth 5 million a year. Not even close.

Landry Fields sucks. I'd rather keep Luke who is one of the better backup PG's, and can play with Rubio anyway.

Come on now, I wouldn't say Fields sucks. I think he good for a 2nd round pick, & if
Ridnour was so good the T-Wolves would not had fell apart after Rubio went down.

Ridnour is a great backup PG. Keyword, "backup". He shouldn't be counted on to be your best guard on your team. He's also a solid fit next to Rubio as well. Rubio went down, RIdnour's role changed, and that's not a good role for him to have. Love, Beasley, Pekovic, and Barea all missed significant time as well.

I don't think Ridnour or Barea will be traded before it becomes clear that Rubio is completely healed and ready to go. If Rubio is not ready to start the season then Ridnour is needed for than Fields.

With Iman down with ACL, JR might be looking for a bigger payday,Walker being waved, no 1st rd
pick, Fields is all NY has left at SG. I don't think they are going to trade him.

Don't judge Fields based on only this year.

He was really awesome last year in much more up and down, free flowing, and spaced offense. With Melo it just wasn't a good fit.

Now he still played way worse then he should have but in a better situation he will be a lot better.

Landry Fields is not a playoff basketball player. When teams focus and tighten up defensively in a series with a ful scouting report he is worthless. He only scores layups in a wde open free flowing low pressure reg season environment. He can't shoot... he is one of the slowest players I've ever seen play in the nba. Past 2 years in playoffs his true colors showed up. He is soft... knicks front office would be fools to waste their money on him. If you are going to be slow you better be a sharp shooter which he is not.

Ridnour doesnt even make $5 mill a yr so why pay Fields that kind of money?? What exactly makes Fields such a great fix next to Rubio? He just doesnt do anything really well.

Fields cant shoot he cant dribble he cant finish and he is slower then a sloth. Im still wondering how he made the 2nd round in the draft and how he became a NBA starter. He will be out of the league in 5 years

you want to trade a guy who can get in the lane anytime he wants,is a decent shooter,is a winner, is extremely competitive and has an extremely reasonable contact for a spare wing? Barea has so much more value than that.
