And here is Ford:

So to sum up Zeller to Cavs for Cleveland's 24, 33, 34 picks.

Dallas Mavericks are idiots for letting Zeller go.

I like it. They git great value. And Melo(?) + 2 high seconds for Zeler looks great to me. Now, why did Cleveland do it I have no idea.

Me thinks this trade preludes a Varejao trade.

:( I hate the Cleveland draft. (That said, I'm not a college prospect junkie). But still, I hate the Cleveland draft.

Adam Silver just added that Mavericks are also trading Kelenna Azubuike to the Cavaliers.

Why do people not like Zeller? He'll be good and can finally make Cleveland move Verajao. Get that dirty player outta my division.

To be honest, no one past #12 or so was going to be in the rotation for the Mavs unless it was a diamond in the ruff type player. Having quantity aids in that. Also, the cap hit for the #24 is a little less than #17. The second's don't have a cap hit until signed.

I like the move for Dallas, but I would have chosen Perry Jones and hope he recovers.

Wow, I love this for Cleveland.

Zeller will be a good fit for that team. His size will match with TT's energy very well. Zeller is also a more polished offensive player, and will give Irving (and maybe Waiters to some degree) a target to pass to inside. He will compliment Varejao from the bench, and I can see him eventually being the starter while Varejao backs both PF and C.

I like it, Cavs weren't going to have four rookies and we couldn't work a trade up for Beal or MKG so at least we got the center we like?

nbadraft.net has Zeller going at #11, cbssports.com had Zeller going at #10 and #12, and draftexpress.com had Zeller going at #10. #24, #33, and #34 for a pick in the #10-#12 range is a great move. Zeller is a high character guy, he fits a need, and he should mesh very well in Cleveland.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Probably. The importance of Zeller is he is THE ready to roll C in the lot. Melo? Melo can often block shots...otherwise...PROJECT.....check back in 2 years. Odd...Dallas really could have used Z, but, I guess they think their window is closed now and 3 depth guys is a partial reboot.
CENSORED... No comment.

Dallas needs players that can contribute now at a high level as long as they have Dirk on the payroll. They may still keep Haywood and they increased their cap space ever so slightly last night.

I think Zeller has a modest future in the league, but would have done little to help Dallas while Dirk is there.

I think Dallas is counting on this 27 yr old from Fl St being ready to play backup center minutes right now. I also think Crowder is going to force his way into some minutes with everything he brings. I think Cunningham has bust written all over him. I would have rather just kept the pick but I think our FO is trying to carve out every cent of cap space they can and with moving Buk they felt they had to this. They also will need really cheap bench options and I guess this gives them 2 or 3.
