Updating this as well, I guess

Sixers:

PG: Holliday
SG: Turner
SF: Iggy, Wright, Harkless
PF: Allen?, Young, Moultrie
C: Hawes, Vuc

Starting PF is still an open slot imo. Wouldn't be surprised to see SIlas come back, and a Holiday/Holiday pg rotation looks to be in the works based off summer league :)

Wooops. Should I put him starting? It wouldn't surprise me if it happens, with Turner playing 28-30 but off the bench.

Oklahoma City Thunder: 15 under contract

PG: Russell Westbrook , Eric Maynor , Reggie Jackson
SG: Thabo Sefolosha , James Harden , Daequan Cook
SF: Kevin Durant , Perry Jones , Lazar Hayward, Hollie Thompson ( Undrafted)
PF: Serge Ibaka , Nick Collison
C: Kendrick Perkins , Cole Aldrich, Thabeet

Needs: Low post scorer, rebounding. Really need to play 3rd year Cole Aldrich. Could probably use a 3 point shooter that can get into rotation rather than a 5mins spell here and there. Won't be active in free agency and even if we did, it's a 1 year contract offer.

Presti Solution: Take a flier on Thabeet, sign a good 3 point shooter(Hollie Thompson) from collage with height to potentially replace cook's role. At 6'8", hope he can play like Novak of regular season vintage.

Upcoming Trade: Can only see cook having some value.

With the Hawks recent moves, things are a bit in flux, but right now my best guess is:
Teague/Harris
L. Williams/Morrow
Smith/ Stevenson
Horford/I. Johnson/M. Scott
Z. Pachulia/J. Williams/J. Petro

It's possible they'll start Horford at the 5 and Smith at the 4, but as it is right now there is no other SF. Also, I'm not sure how things would shake out between Teague, Harris, and Williams. All 3 are more PG than SG.

Grizzlies:

PG: Conley/Bayless/Pargo
SG: Allen/Wroten/Selby
SF: Gay/Poindexter/Cunningham
PF: ZBo/Arthur/Cunningham
C: Gasol/Speights/(Hadadi - UFA)

Bayless will play some sg, Arthur will play some 5 when he gets healthy, Speights will play some 4, Wroten may end up out of the rotation, Pargo may be bought out, but that's a reasonable sketch of how it will look.

Ideally sign a 2/3 shooter for the min and a warm seven foot body for the third string C - I'd be happy to see Hadadi come back in that role - and we're done. There seems to be too much depth at the four once Arthur is healthy, so either he, Speights or Cunningham could be available. Or ZBo, I guess.

With the official signing of Hibbert and Hill, Pacers' cap space is gone and probably closes our offseason, save for some min level signing.

INDIANA

Hibbert/Mahinmi/Plumlee
West/Hansbrough/Pendergraph
Granger/G. Green
George/Stephenson/O. Johnson
Hill/Augustin

For a team that's trying to get to the ECF, our bench seems surprisingly unproven. DJ Augustin is ok, but it seems very dicey to rely on Mahinmi, Gerald Green, and Lance Stephenson as the 7th-9th guys in the rotation. Not saying they're not good, but they've never been heavy minutes guys before, so it's scary...

Oh, and Hansbrough is probably on the block. We tried to pawn him off to Charlotte while acquiring Augustin, but Charlotte turned us down :o And I thought they'd value him for the UNC connection...

do you have a source for that speculation that Charlotte turned PyschoT down? I know that Pacer fans speculated that we were going to trade him for Augustin but I've yet to hear anyone with reason to know the inside story say that we offered that trade but pulled the offer when Charlotte renounced Augustin to clear cap room for another move.

p.s. I posted an almost identical updated roster (the only difference being I listed Plumlee at 4 and Pendergraph at 5) and then deleted the message when I saw you'd beaten me to it. I also indicated that while we renounced AJ Price, we have not renounced Barbosa, Fesenko, or Amundson. I don't know if that means we're still talking to their agents or if we just haven't got around to renouncing them after this last week's flurry.
Please edit long quotes to only show what puts your new message into context.

Yeah that's mostly speculation  It seems reasonable though that we offered up Hans (can't imagine us offering anything else), and it seems clear too that Charlotte decided they'd rather have cap space than our trade asset (or Augustin for that matter).

Barbosa at least must have been renounced. There's no way we could have signed Green and Augustin if Barbosa's cap hold was still on the books.

I think we signed Green and Augustin before Hibbert and Hill officially signed so they still counted at their cap holds and not at their new salary numbers. we could have been offering a second round pick or rights to Stanko or even just cash. I suspect though that we may never have made a formal trade offer at all because the hand writing was on the wall that they were going to have to cut him loose.

Portland's current roster as of 7/16

Last season's roster:
Felton (NY)/ Smith
Matthews/ Crawford (LAC)
Batum/ Babbitt
Aldridge/ Hickson
Przybilla/ Hickson/ Thomas

After:
Lillard/ Smith
Matthews/ Williams/ Barton
Batum (assuming he resigns)/ Babbitt/ Claver
Aldridge/ Hickson/ Jeffries
Freeland/ Hickson/ Leonard/ Gadzurich

PG is still a bit of a question mark but I think C should be a lot better with a relatively proven euro player in Freeland and the addition of Leonard who is raw but a big body to add to the lineup. If we add a veteran PG I'll feel a lot better about this team. Felton and Crawford were addition by subtraction.

Philadelphia

Supposedly... Doug Collins wants to see something like:

PG: Holiday, Royal Ivey
SG: Turner, Nick Young
SF: Iggy, Wright, Harkless
PF: Hawes, Young, Allen, Moultrie
C: Kwame, Vuc

You can probably move around Allen and Moultrie to center depth if needed. But I'm going on a limb and saying that Hawes can't play the 4, and wouldn't be surprised to see Nick Young starting at some point. So my guess is there will be some big man rotation of Allen and Hawes and Thad and Kwame, who kind of both work together as pairs.

San Antonio Spurs

PG: Tony Parker / Nando de Colo / Patty Mills / Cory Joseph
SG: Manu Ginobili / Danny Green / Gary Neal
SF: Kawhi Leonard / Stephen Jackson
PF: Boris Diaw / Dejuan Blair / Matt Bonner
C: Tim Duncan / Tiago Splitter

SA is pretty much set. I'd say the Spurs want to add another BIG and they're willing to trade Blair, Bonner, Neal and one of the PGs (not Parker) to make it happen. We still need someone with size that can play some defense and block shots.
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”
