Lakers will not amnesty him because they will still be so far over the cap (after the amnesty and the assumption of a Howard resigning) they won't be able to bring in anybody of worth to fill the void. Gasol will most likely end his basketball career a Laker. I can't see a team dealing for him unless it's mid-season, and I'm not sure the Lakers would be willing to do that unless they are quite the amount of games out of a playoff spot.

Lakers wouldnt amnisty him in the first place we can just trade him to a team like clev for pure capspace and a draft pick, or trade him in a 3 team deal where we get jose back and and less moneying comming in then is going out people here swear teams wont trade for gasol...

I don't know who would give up that much at this point.

You can have Wesley Johnson, Kendall Marshall and Channing Frye plus your pick back.

I don't think the Suns do it, kills our cap space, but I'd love an all-world front court rotation of Gasol, Scola and Gortat.

LAL probably doesn't think there's enough there.

Obviously you think Pau isn't playing well you if you bumped this thread. Why would you expect so much for him if that’s the case though?

MIL Get: Pau Gasol, Darius Morris

LAL Get: Ilysova, Beno(exp), Top 5 pro 1st, And ur choice of Udoh, Henson, or Sanders

Because the Bucks see themselves as a Win Now contender???

Pau is not YOUNG...or CHEAP. He has value to a team that thinks they can challenge the next 2 years and the general view is that based on the age/$ stuff he can be had without paying a lot in trade chips. The Lakers, however ARE a Win Now,so they will want to get back talent with value NOW,while also getting younger or cheaper. Thus...the pickle in that this really narrows the market.

HOU Gets: Gasol

POR Gets: P.Patterson, K.Martin(exp), TOR 1st,choice of either T.Jones or J.Lamb

LAL Gets: L.Aldridge

Aldridge has probly seen enough ..the implosion of their core of Roy and Oden...then the dysfunction of Jamal and Felton last year not making the playoffs and now having to re-build all over ..i can see something brewing there

lin gets his big to work with ala Francis and Yao ming

Lakers imo upgrade (arguable) and shed some salary upfront but not int he longterm

scary thing about is LMA may demand a trade and that Hou package is a good haul for him this could really happen

But why would Houston flip LMA for Gasol then?
it's another thing based on "God likes the Lakers best" and that SOME other team fall on the grenade. Of COURSE...Houston would trade expendable stuff for LMA,then tell LAL to get lost. Franchises in the west do NOT have a master plan of #1...lets help the Lakers do their next dynasty. Quite the reverse. If Portland thinks that Houston package is all LMA fetches...then Houston grabs LMA and tells LAL to buzz off.

The difference between Z-Bo and Gasol is not Rudy Gay. And Artest and Duhon dont add anything at all.

Philly should make a move for Pau if the value is good.
Gasol/Bynum reunited.
Turns Philly into a top 4 team in the East easily. (providing they keep Holliday and have depth)

I would say Denver but Id rather let Faried progress than pay Gasol over 20mil a year.

LAL trade: Pau,Ebanks for Ryan Anderson, Wilson Chandler, Smith
Denver trade: Chandler, McGee for Pau
NO trade: Anderson, Smith for McGee, Ebanks

LAL get a PF with 3-point range to open the floor for Howard and Kobe, a quality reserve big in Smith (I can't remember his first name), and a very good backup SF/SG/PF in Chandler, who can start next year after MWP is amnestied.

Denver gets a high-level post option. Pau can slide between PF and C with Faried, Kufos and Mozgov. They've got the depth to cover for losing Chandler on the wing.

NO trades Anderson - a very good player but a bad fit on a team with a franchise player at PF ahead of him, for a long-term starting C.

Interesting deal man...but i think if were not dealing Gasol for equal talent at the position then we probly need a pick. Im willing to take the hit on losing Gasol to bolster the bench/SF position but i think ultimately me and probly Kupchack would decline. How bout if we swap Blake with Andre Miller?

LAL Get: Ryan Anderson, Wilson Chandler, Andre Miller, Jason Smith

NOH Get: Javale Mcgee, Devin Ebanks

DEN Get: Pau Gasol, Steve Blake
