Grizz/Cats/Magic

Post#1 » by Cigamodnalro » Sun Jan 20, 2013 1:48 am

Mem trades: Rudy Gay, Tony Wroten, Wayne Ellington, Quincy Pondexter
Receives: JJ Redick, Gerald Henderson, Moe Harkless, Al Harrington

ORL trades: Redick, Harkless, Harrington
Receives: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, DeSagana Diop, Wayne Ellington

Cats trade: MKG, Henderson, Diop
Receive: Rudy Gay, Tony Wroten, Pondexter

Grizz get two great shooting guards on expiring deals, a solid veteran PF with a 50% buyout after the season, and a terrific long term prospect in Harkless. Magic turn an expiring they are unlikely to resign and a not-so-great veteran contract into a Harkless-to-MKG upgrade. The team sheds salary and gains a young talented player, it's two main objective. Cats get a star SF and the best player in the trade in Rudy Gay, an intriguing young PG in Wroten, and a solid contributor in Pondexter.

I'm gonna need an automated "no" stamp for all these MKG for Gay trades.

Looks good for Grizz and Magic, but, like stated above i highly doubt Charlotte considers dealing MKG for Gay.

Why I love it for MEM: They unload Gay's contract, and Reddick is a perfect fit for them. His defensive deficiencies would be masked by Tony Allen's strong defense. And when JJ becomes a free agent, MEM could try to resign him for less than what he makes now, and he could be a threat with Gasol and Z-Bo.

Why I hate it for CHA: They're a young, rebuilding team. MKG looks like someone you want around while you're in this process. So they unload him, untapped potential and all, for Rudy Gay, his fat contract, and the undeniable fact that he isn't going to make CHA a scary team (no offense CHA_77).

obvious no from Charlotte with MKG for Gay but even if this happened Memphis would jsut cut out Orlando and take Hendo+MKG+expiring for themselves

I think MKG is virtually untouchable right now.

Wait..

Reddick, Harkless and Al Harrington!

GETS

Michael Kidd Gilchrist

WHAT?!

No.

Not close.
Charlotte would be owed a 2-3 picks from Orlando depending on what they give up as they have a ton.
