OK, I'll add an unprotected '15 BRK 1st. Does that do the trick?

I don't know how to make this more clear.
Do not put G.Wallace in any trade if you want the other teams to accept it.

Even though Boston was protesting, it won'd be long before a Memphis fan does.

Actually, I was hoping for more feedback from MEM, but haven't gotten any.

Grizz fans, how does this trade suit you? As I alluded to earlier, I feel Wallace has more of the lunchpail mentality that fuels Memphis. Tay is a consummate professional and dedicated to team defense just like Gerald, but in personality is more of a wallflower. He would fit better with the Nets' core IMO. I know Q-Pon is a scrappy bench mob contributor, but I figured the #22 and a cheap young PG would go farther to shore up the depth chart.

So you take a team that already has a problem with outside shooting and clogging the paint and add Gerald Wallace to play the 3?

A big no from Memphis.

1) Especially with his contract and attitude Q-Pon is to stay in Memphis. Promoting Joerger to HC is also a good thing for Q-Pon.

2) There is a huge misunderstanding about trading Wallace to us. He is no fit for Grizzlies right now. We got swept by the Spurs because we have no outside threat. Wallace is even worse than Tay. So unless we have a solid offensive 2, Wallace is no fit for us.

3) 22nd pick is good but I am glad to have Q-Pon more than a late first-pick.

1) and 3) OK, we'll sub Greene in for Pondexter. Shouldn't make a difference to BOS fans, but I can understand the value he has to your system.

2) Yes, outside shooting is another weakness of Memphis'. But if your management was that hung up about it, why did they trade Gay? Why did they let Mayo walk, when the market obviously wasn't cost-prohibitive? You could use a Korver-like presence off of your bench. But the 22nd pick should help in that regard (Hardaway/Rice/Ledo/Crabbe/Snell).

I'm feeling more confident in this trade by the hour, and now RealGM Wiretap is backing me up! Who's ready to call the GMs on this one?

No way memphis does this....

They get a longer more expensive worse contract in wallace compared to prince and prince is probably the better player. not a chance

No one is replying because it's horrendous for Memphis. Prince is owed 15M over 2 years while Wallace has 33+ over 3 - so that's a deal breaker right right - considering Prince is clearly the better outside shooter (a Grizz weakness as you acknowledged), it's not even close.

Counter proposal:

Randolph, Prince to BK
Ed Davis, Hump, Teletovic, Evans, Taylor, Shengelia, #22 to BOS (do not need to include Evans, Taylor or Shengelia from BK if they can manage to take on Randolph, Prince without including them - only in there for salary purposes)
KG, Pierce, Evans, Brooks to MEM

D.Williams/Watson
Johnson/FA/
Wallace/Prince
Randolph/(Blatche)/FA
Lopez/(Blatche)/FA

Nets get a major upgrade at PF but have to take on Prince.

Rondo/(Terry)
Bradley/Lee
Green/#22
Sullinger/Teletovic/(Hump)
Davis/#16/(Bass)

Get good return for their aging stars.

Conley/Bayless
(T.Allen)/Brooks
Pierce/Pondexter
KG/Arthur
Gasol/Evans

Re-tool for a couple runs. Can re-sign Pierce for cheaper after this season, guaranteeing them not being a lux-tax repeater while still staying very competitive (barring injuries).

Celtics would have no interest in the second deal, it is hot garbage.

The Celtics get what exactly out of that, a late first, Ed Davis who is nothing special and a whole bunch of wasted roster spots. That does absolutely nothing for them, and they can get more for Pierce and KG, either in talent or in dumping bad deals.
