Who Says No? Chicago/Indiana

Post#1 » by RoyalWun » Thu Dec 19, 2013 2:51 pm

Since it's blatantly obvious Chicago isn't resigning Deng:

Bulls send: Luol Deng

Pacers send: Danny Granger + Orlando Johnson

Indy gets a (healthy) piece that could help their championship pursuit this year.
Chicago gets a young piece with potential.
Dammit...:

I've got Nurkic fever now.

This would be a gamechanger for Indy.

Hill-George-Deng-West-Hibbert

Oh boy, George/Deng defensively would be amazing to watch. However, I doubt Chicago would send Deng to a rival within the division.

yeah Im struggling to see why Chicago gifts Deng to Indiana for Orlando Johnson? Is it that they hate Miami so much they are willing to sacrifice value to see their reign of the East end? That is literally the only reason to do this. Just brutal for the Bulls.

Cleveland counters with Alonzo Gee, 2015 MIA 1st, and a keg of Chistmas Ale. Cleveland gets a starting SF, Chicago helps their tank while management drinks away their sorrows.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

No chance. The Bulls will trade Deng, but they won't give him away.

Think he was saying Chicago would rather Cleveland's package.. And I'd agree..

Could see it with Hill, but not OJ... It'd be obvious Deng was a one year push for Indy as Deng is hoping for Iggy's deal... Maybe Granger buys a house in Chicago and thus decides to sign on a MLE deal as no one is offering him big money..

But some team would offer a better piece than Hill I imagine..

Maybe. Using the word "counters" was weird, when they weren't referenced at all to "counter" anything.

Yes, thank you for pointing out my use of the word "counters" when I should have went with "offers". Let us put the focus back on the important part, this deal is terrible.

I'd rather healthy scratch Deng for the rest of the season. Teams that have no interest whatsoever in even entertaining the idea of resigning Deng would quite easily beat this deal.

Sorry. There's always so many Cleveland/Chicago Deng related threads so I naturally assumed you meant to throw it in there. I apologize if it appeared weird for me to ask.
