FYI - The QO for Roberts is something like $3m. It got hiked significantly because of the number of games he started due to Holiday's injury.

I think it is around 2.7 million or so, but that is a good point. That would eat in the space the Pelicans would have available. I'll take a look at it later today if I get a chance and post a revision.

This is very well done and very accurate Smitty. Nice job, especially for someone not 100% dedicated to the team.

I'm not as sure as you are that the Pels are going to offer B-Rob. We already have Jrue, Gordon, Evans and Rivers guaranteed, and Pierre Jackson's rights. That accelerated QO probably ruled out the offer.

I also don't think Jason Smith will be back, though he is a team and fan favorite. His injuries have piled up, and we have Davis, Anderson, Ajinca and Withey as bigs locked up, and improvements still needed.

Babbitt and Miller are 50-50.

Ely is a non-guaranteed contract signed specifically to help match salaries in a trade. A brilliant move by Dell if you ask me.

Overall, we're in a weird spot. We could relinquish everyone and offer a deal just a bit more than the MLE. That would give us an advantage. Or we could just keep numerous players and ride with the MLE. One things for sure, Dell won't stand pat.

Unfortunately this is going to be incomplete until we find out what extra deal is made to complete the Asik trade. I say the Pels now do everything they can to match salaries in a three team deal and stay as an above the cap team.

Ely and Gee are now gone, Asik is on the roster, Brian Roberts' cap hold needs to disappear.

Maximum Cap Space: None. $1,435,410.00 over (if all options/guarantees were not picked up, all FAs renounced, no draft picks were to be signed this season, and all Exceptions were renounced)

Partial/Non-Guaranteed Contracts Kept to date (3): Luke Babbitt, Omri Casspi, Jeff Withey

Restricted FAs given Qualifying Offers (0): None

FA Cap Holds (1): Darius Miller (no Qualifying Offer given)

FAs Renounced/Players Waived (0):

Draft Pick Holds (0): None

Current Exceptions: Room Exception at $2,732,000.00. No BAE due to being under the Cap. No TPEs.

Miller was re-signed and Young was reportedly given a 2 year deal. Would expect neither are guaranteed, but not certain (nor certain if Jimmer's is guaranteed). I have read that we do not have the Room Exception any longer (told Salmons ate into that).

Waiting to see what happens with all of that. I know Salmons is expected to get all, or most of the Room Exception. I hadn't seen the Miller thing. And who is Young?
