Why for Cleveland? Get expirings for a player on a multi-year contract stuck behind Irving.
Why for Detroit? Upgrade the starting point guard position and bring Jennings off the bench.

Jack for Jerebko and Bynum
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

I like Thornton better.
As bad as he is, he adds more then enough to be worth the extra salary over Jerebko Bynum.
