Boston will not give up Rondo for a package around Mclemore, pretty clear to almost every single person in the universe

Why not? He's an expiring and could walk for nothing. It'd be pretty enticing for him to join gay, cousins and smith on the kings as a free agent next off season. A inge Gets a prospect SG for accommodating the transaction a year early and unloads greens long term contract to expedite the rebuild process.

At the very least we need to add a first.

Every one of these trades is basically the same thing. Rondo and Smith to Sacramento, Green to Detroit, and McLemore and stuff to Boston. Every time, the Celtics fans say it isn't enough, rightfully so. You better add some picks if you aren't sending back more than McLemore.

Obvious yes from Sacramento.

Boston probably a hell no.

If you swap Wallace for Green its still a no. Boston needs a lot more. Green has some value, especially to Detroit.

Rondo for McLemore, Williams, 1st at the very very least. Anything less is insulting.

If you want Green as well then you need to make an offer containing some value, not dumping Green for free so you can land Rondo/Smith.

Boston isn't trading Rondo and having the only positive value piece they get back be Ben McLemore. That just isn't going to happen.

I doubt the Pistons are going to be overly happy about having to take back Thompson in this deal either.

The Grizzlies will not give up Pau Gasol for a package around Kwame Brown

I like it for Detroit. We get some value back while dumping Bynum and Jerebko.

Do people not understand that Celtics really like Avery Bradley?

HINT: There's a reason why the Boston Celtics have 18 championships and the Memphis Grizzlies have 0.

Not even that. Ben McLemore has very low value. The fact that his team picked a SG high in the lottery one year after picking McLemore, a SG, high in the lottery says everything you need to know about the kid.

If the only appreciable piece of value you're sending out is McLemore (and it is), you won't be getting Smith and Rondo. You might get Smith, but just forget about Rondo.
