Detroit Gets:
Gerald Henderson
Bismack Biyombo
Gary Neal
They get a shooting guard who will give them leadership and a lot of hard work. Biyombo gives them a young back up big while neap's shooting is something they are adding this offseason.
Drummond/Biyombo
Monroe/Jerebko
Henderson/Butler
Meeks/Caldwell-Pope
Jennings/Augustin/Bynum
Charlotte Gets:
Josh Smith
They get a major upgrade at PF and will compliment Big Al perfectly. This is perfect for the post season.
Jefferson/Zeller
Smith/Vonleh
Kidd-Gilchrist/WIliams/Taylor
Stephenson/Douglas-ROberts
Walker/Roberts/Pargo

Re: CHA - DET Smith Trade
I've always been open to a Smith trade for expirings and a small asset. I'd do this, but I'd likely flip Biyombo to a third team.

Re: CHA - DET Smith Trade
Detroit's chronic problem is that rather than have a SF...they play a PF and 2 centers. So... do they get a SF? No.
Instead they lose the guy who'd had to play SF..and add a 3rd string C.

pfffft..........................no
We don't have any interest in Josh Smith. The value in this deal is also terrible for Charlotte.

Pass from Charlotte. We want no piece of Josh Smith. We wouldn't give up an asset for him. We would have to get a good asset to make it worth taking that terrible contract back.

Definitely passing on this. If Smith plays half a season without shooting more than one outside shot per game or just being an idiot in general, then I'd trade Marvin Williams and Gary Neal straight up for him. No Biyombo, no Henderson. Williams and Neal.

I dont think I would even do that. His contract just runs a year to long.
