NO MORE WASTED MINUTES ON GARCIA!!!!

Not I have seen something said theT-Wolves get the Kings pick if it falls between 50-60. Now is that a protection the Kings put or the Rockets?

the wolves do get the Rockets 2016 second

Well, if Rox keep Brewer all year - still a good deal. Not clear if Brewer waived his player option but it sounded like he was.

If Rox look to flip him:
Brewer (4.7, 4.9 PO?)

Other contracts to deal - all expiring or rookie deals
JTerry 5.45
Papanik 4.8
TJ 1.6, 2.5
Motie 1.5, 2.3 (probably keeping him the way he is playing)
Garcia 1.3
Capela (1.2, 1.2, TO)
a couple under a mil

So, easily over $20 mil in expiring contracts Rox would not mind dealing.

I would still love to see a deal for Deron and Teletovic.

Good deal for both sides too, opens up room for younger players in Minny and moves Houston closer to the top. Crazy that Dallas makes a big move for their team then Houston does one. Your turn San Antonio, shock me...

I wouldn't call this a big move for Houston. It's a slight upgrade to their team while maintaining flexibility at the trade deadline and free agency.

This move will allow Ariza and Hardens mins. to decrease which is a huge win.

Hartford-Whalers got to be getting as excited as I was yesterday about Rondo at the prospect of another 2nd.

And Philly gets a 2nd......

Philly being involved in a Rockets deal should surprise no one at this point.

Sixers will drop 1.8m in salary and get a 2nd? Huge win.

Shved is a borderline NBA player, so his addition for Houston makes some sense.

The Philly portion means next to nothing. I can't see Shved doing anything for the Rockets. Maybe I am wrong. For Philly, it is fine. They didn't need to save money, but getting another pick is good.

The Brewer part is awesome for Houston. With Harden actually playing pretty solid defense, this team is now looking really tough as a defensive group. No one is really a weak link anymore. Brewer just adds to that. In addition, if they push pace just a bit more, he's really ok offensively. I think he's a nice fit behind both Ariza and Harden.

I like it for Minnesota too. Clear money and give all those minutes to Wiggins, Muhammad and LaVine. Exactly what a rebuilding team should do.

I'm going to wait a little longer before giving it my full thoughts in case there are details we still do not know.

I can tell you that on the surface I am very pleased so far. At bare minimum the Rockets picked up a guy who will be a rotation player who will help to reduce minutes played by Harden & Ariza.

Weren't the Rockets moving Turiaf on (in part) because of a full roster? Getting Shved won't help, unless I misunderstood.

Apparently they are waiving Garcia. So, that cleans that up.

Shved's deal could really help the Rockets if they make a deal at the deadline. A little over 3 mil versus a vet min deal for Garcia or Turiaf. Between Shved and Terry they now have two expirings totaling a bit over 9 mil.
