AK47 has been waived (Stein)

Post#1 » by Texas Chuck » Sat Feb 21, 2015 10:06 pm

Wonder if he wants to play. If he does, he should draw some interest right? Thoughts on landing spot if he plays?

Clippers need a SF. Tayshaun Prince was all set to go there before Boston traded him to Detroit at the last minute (Pissing off tay in the process) as Detroit plans on keeping him for the ROS.

Is Prince still upset about it?

Cavs would've been a nice spot seeing as we have the Moz/Blatt connection but unfortunately, we're stuck with the dead corpses of Miller/Jones/Haywood who'd be cut in a minute to get someone that can actually contribute more than a 3pt.

If I were Doc, I'd go hard for AK-47, they need perimeter help desperately. Matt Barnes is pretty much all they got at that SF spot. Sad.

he could be a PF off the bench, but I don't see what he could bring at SF.

Any word if the Sixers are waiving McGee in the coming week ? I like to get him on the Celtics.

Hopefully the Nets...oh wait.

Hard to say what he has left. Wasn't given much of a chance by Hollins, but when he was given one he looked awful, particularly inept offensively. But, just a year ago he was a key part of the turnaround.. until Kidd started benching him towards the end of the season and the PO's that is.

As before I think SAS is an option. If we was waived earlier, I would have been surprised for him to go back to Europe as his wife has said she wants him to finish his career there, but it appears to be late in the season.

Clippers do make a lot of sense too. His whole thing coming into this season was he wanted minutes, but we saw how that worked. I'm sure now he'll be happy to join a contender for a modest role.

Would like to see my ATL give him a look see. A defensive combo F would make sense in both filling an immediate need and give us another lol come playoff time.

Clippers make a lot of sense. But given how many reunions/homecomings we've seen in the past few years in the league, would the Jazz be out of the question?

At this point in his career, how can you not seek out a contender? Especially when your earning potential is limited as is. Ring chase. AK's made his fair share of moola when he was a triple-double monster and then magically fell off for some odd reason.

While Clips would make sense, I could see him on Spurs/Hawks.

Stein just retweeted the Sixers on this, they should get the breaking news credit.

Seems like he could go to the Clippers, as Plan B, assuming Plan A was Tayshaun Prince.
