Has Biyombo recovered from that dunk on him by Williams last night? That is probably Derrick Williams last relevant moment in the league.

Bismack will probably be the highest paid player on this list. Four years $48 million minimum. Probably closer to $56 million. Asik and Kanter will probably get around $32 million over four years. Chandler's money is going to depend on how many years he wants guaranteed. Robin Lopez and Koufus see $32 million over four years.

I'd bet all the money I have that Kanter is going to get more than 8 million a year...

The new TV money is going to inflate all their salaries a ton. The real questions are which NBA stars will get pissed about being paid less than the guys getting all the new TV money, what will they do about it and how will that affect those teams?

Pretty sure Presti wants to keep Kanter. I could see him getting $15M a year easy. Maybe more.

The new salary equilibrium getting established will be interesting.

Because there's such a huge demand for McGee. Teams weren't even willing to give him a 2nd year guaranteed on a vet min deal after his buyout.

He's a young athletic center who is a defensive specialist. He's coming into his prime. The salary cap is going up to $105 million in 2016 (it might be $90 million this summer). How many teams need a defensive rim protector. How many teams need an offense-only center who might not even be a net plus over. Many more teams will make a run at Bismack than Kanter.

Bismack isn't that great of a defender. He blocks shots at a decent rate, but I don't think he would qualify as a good defender yet. He also fouls a ton.

Also, for the record, I wouldn't sign Kanter but he is in the perfect situation for his skill set. The thunder can afford to pay him and they will. Remember they were trying to get Brook Lopez, who is also a poor defender and average rebounder. He's going to get at least the amount they were offering Reggie Jackson. I really am glad that we traded him. Having said that, he's the same age as Biyombo and is much bigger. Since joining the Thunder he is posting a PER of 23.1 and is averaging 16.5 ppg, 10.4 rpg, 1.4 apg shooting 56% from the field in 30 mpg and I think most Thunder fans would agree that he is helping more than hurting.

If Biyombo gets a Max deal, which is basically what 56/4 would be, that would be laughable. He is brutally bad on offense. He has no sense of where to be. The guys on the floor are constantly having to tell him where to go still. Never mind his complete lack of any offensive game himself.

He's also not a great defender. He blocks shots sure. But he fouls a bunch too. And he chases blocks still. He gets them by taking himself completely out of defending his man or being in rebounding position. I don't think anyone should call him a good defender.

As for the rest, it is really hard to guess. Some guys might get overpaid, because in a year it won't matter. I usually set a price and add 2 million a year to it. This Summer, you might need to add 4 or 5 million to it. Going to be an interesting Summer for sure.

The difference between when Big Al plays and Bismack plays for the Hornets is like night and day. Biz is a good young defender. I can think of a lot of teams that would like to have him.

whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat

I mean, I'd pay Bismack huge $$$ but come on dude

I could see Biz getting the 4/32 figure you gave Kanter- that's pretty reasonable.

Rather have Biz than Al regardless of money though if that's what you're getting at.
