Treyd Burke Value

I wanna see what Treyd Burke can fetch on the market or what you can package with Treyd to get. Let's go T&Ters!

He's in that Brandon Knight - MCW territory of disrespect. He's a talented player who has been impressive in some respects but will have holes poked in his statistical resume. There will also be observations he somehow isn't a "true" point guard.

For a rebuilding team in need of a point (Philadelphia?) he could be a great value in terms of assets required to get him. There just seems to be little consideration of the fact he's still pretty young and the Utah offensive personnel is not ideal. Still think the guy can be good in the league. If the Pistons were in the market for a point I'd deal a low lotto / mid-first type pick.

Just spitballing, if the draft order remains intact, would Utah do #11 and Burke for #7? (On the chance Jackson gets an outlandish deal the Pistons won't match, and they move Jennings to go young at the point)

Philly has the #12, which seems a touch high, and Dallas has the #24 (should Rondo walk) and the Lakers are at #26, which seem a little low. Chandler from Denver, should they move Lawson? Hardaway and/or Early from the Knicks? Not a lot of teams need points.

I think he's worth a draft pick between like 18-24 spots. I wonder if he'd be packaged with their own 2015 pick to get a legit starting PG (Ty Lawson?) whose contract expires at same time Exeum would be done rookie deal.

he's a classic backup PG. He has value in that regard as he's young and he's cheap. So a team with a pick say 25-30 might be willing to take him on if they have a need and limited finances.

I guess if I'm Utah I'd want to know for sure that Exum is a PG before I did this. This is a team I fully expect to be competing for a playoff spot next year. I'd rather keep him than move him just to move him. Yes I'd want to bring in a veteran PG on a short contract that could start, but Burke can help and he looks a lot better playing 18 minutes against backups.

I am sure I am in the minority;
But I would move Toronto 2015 1st to have him play behind Lowry.

He's negative value in my opinion. Honestly at this point he's one of the worst players in the league in that he's a detriment every time he takes the court.

He's horrendous. I'd offer nothing of value

I would do it too and I'm more than fine with Lou walking away if we do this

If you can add another middling wing, I might give you Haywood's contract for him depending on who the Cavs are able to re-sign.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

I think a rebuilding team with a hole at pg and extra cash would give up something for him.

I think a late first or two high second rounders is probably the right value... With the caveat that it only takes one crazy team to overpay as happened with mcw and knight.

Takes a lot of shots, isn't that efficient, from what I've seen is not a very good defender, not sure I'd give up much for that

Not necessarily disagreeing there, his hot streak hasn't blinded me into thinking he's good

Late first, early second. Inefficient, not a great creator, likely a career backup.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Funny how a month ago I suggested a trade that involved Burke and Lawson and the consensus was that Burke was worth a late lottery pick.

Very disappointing player imo, I wanted this guy over Oladipo in the '13 draft

Toronto trades Vasquez to Utah
Utah trades Burke to Philly and Booker to Toronto
Phllly trades a 2nd gets Burke

A 2nd is about all I'd be willing to give up for him from a Philly perspective, but honestly Ish Smith has made a crazy connection with Noel, I think he may have locked up our back up PG spot for the future, and ideally we are drafting our starting PG this year, so maybe no need for Burke.
