Phoenix/Toronto/Philadelphia, Noel to raptors

Post#1 » by bigmean » Sun Jul 12, 2015 12:45 am

Toronto gets: Nerlens Noel from Philadelphia
2016 second round draft pick from Denver via Philadelphia
Denver's 2016 2nd round pick to Philadelphia [Denver-Philadelphia-Washington, 2/20/2014]

2018 second round draft pick from Brooklyn via Philadelphia
Philadelphia will receive the more favorable of Brooklyn's 2018 2nd round pick and Cleveland's 2018 2nd round pick and Charlotte will receive the less favorable of these two picks (via Philadelphia's right to swap Cleveland for Brooklyn) [Cleveland-Philadelphia, 9/27/2014; Brooklyn-Philadelphia, 12/11/2014]; this pick conveyance is the same as the one described in "2018 second round draft pick from Cleveland" on Philadelphia Credits

Philly gets: Archie Goodwin, Markieff Morris from Phoenix

2017 first round draft pick from L.A. Clippers via Toronto
L.A. Clippers' 1st round pick to Toronto (via Milwaukee) protected for selections 1-14 in 2017, 1-14 in 2018 and 1-14 in 2019; if the L.A. Clippers have not conveyed a 1st round pick to Toronto by 2019, then the L.A. Clippers will instead convey their 2020 2nd round pick and 2021 2nd round pick to Toronto [L.A. Clippers-Milwaukee, 8/26/2014; Milwaukee-Toronto, 6/25/2015

2016 first round draft pick from Cleveland via Phoenix
Cleveland's 1st round pick to Phoenix (via Boston) protected for selections 1-10 in 2016, 1-10 in 2017 and 1-10 in 2018 and unprotected in 2019 [Boston-Brooklyn-Cleveland, 7/10/2014; Boston-Phoenix, 2/19/2015]

Phoenix gets Terrence Ross from Toronto

2016 first round draft pick from New York via Toronto
New York will convey the less favorable of its 2016 1st round pick and Denver's 2016 1st round pick to Toronto (via Denver's right to swap for New York) [Denver-Minnesota-New York, 2/22/2011; New York-Toronto, 7/10/2013]

a little complicated with picks

Toronto gets an elite rim protector and defender, to compliment Valcanius, Patterson and Scola are better suited as role players not starters.

Sixers gets two more starters who are suiable given there contract and youth. Morris should be nice compliment given ability to play way from basketball. Since Okafor will be dominating post. Goodwin is suited to be either starter or third guard. Love his upside. they also gained to likely late first rounders. to parlay later if need be doe other assests

Phoenix gets a useful perimeter player who should start with TJ Warren coming off the bench, they get extremely high first rounder either Denver and New York likely top ten for two players they also clear tons of cap space 9.2 million

It is very bad for Philly. I hope it is good for (at least) one of those teams.

really... it gives them a penetrator in Goodwin ,Lightning-quick first step with great explosion and lift .lts gives them perimeter based power forward in Morris ,Physical power forward with good shooting touch and face-up game who offensively will fit in with Okafor. they also trade two second rounders for two first rounders. we dont know if Noel and Okafor can coexist, Noel offensive is based on scaps and put backs. Okafor operates out of post. its big mismatch. offensively. Defense its lots better story.

A couple of backups and middle of the road draft picks won't pry Noel from Philly.

Offensively, Noel can be on the weak side ready for a dump down or lob dunk if Okafor gets doubled on the other post. I'm not worried about it, and I'm not gutting the team's defensive anchor for this.

Philly trading Noel is a non-starter

Morris is good, but Philly didn't go on this long-term rebuild plan to max out on guys like Markieff Morris.

In befor lock......but seriously I'm guessing not too many Philly fans have seen this yet. If they thought Smart/16 Nets/16 Mavs is a bad return then I would like to know about this. I don't think there is any combination of players picks that Toronto could offer up for Noel that wouldn't gut their franchise. Fun fact, Noel grew up one town over from me :D

Maybe, maybe not. Knicks 2016 pick is gold right now and Philly would love to have it. Then add in raps 2016+Clippers 2017 and they might listen. I know Philly wants a point guard and perhaps Delon wright getting thrown into the mix as well could sway their thinking.

Delon Wright+ knick knick/nugz 1st+raps 1st+clips first

Now after writing all this you are right I just gutted the franchise of all their picks. Lol. Nothing to see here

We don't need to. With bigmean and the Sixers, we know we're getting ram-rodded.

Somehow, Phoenix walks out of this with more value for Markieff Morris than Philly gets for Noel.

Remember, not all picks are valued the same. Not all former very late 1st round picks are valued the same.

This dude routinely posts the most one-sided trades against the Sixers, it's so bizarre.
