Any team interested in him at all? I'd take back basically anyone not a total albatross contract who made any sense. Can add McGary/Huestis/seconds. He managed to make my Christmas slightly less merry.

Thunder basically got a new Waiters but a bit more reliable. Stuckey is on a really cheap contract considering massive cap jump that is about to happen. Pacers basically got a new Stephenson. Pacers do this trade with hope Vogel could turn Waiters into something useful.

Waiters & Augustin for Calderon if the NYK want to dump Calderon. OKC gets a shooter,open up a roster spot &
save about $7.3K. And no to Novak instead of Augustin because NYK would only have 1 PG (Grant) & 1 combo G Gall
to play the point.

By my math OKC saves a pro-rated $700k in salary and another $700K in tax -- tho if they use the roster spot those savings go away. And of course they take on Calderon's contract next year. I don't know that $$$ savings is something the Thunder get here.

That would be the price to pay or they can keep having Waiter chucking away. Also they have 4 players they are not playing.
That's 4 roster they all not using. They would just have to wait & fill it when they can use 10 day deals.

Pondexter and Singler is quite a bit of money and 2 rosters spots tied up in guys you never want to play. Makes the 2nds less valuable as well due to less developmental spots available.

I feel like 2 2nds to dump Pondexter is about right value-wise, but I'm sure its correct directionally. I don't see a lot of value in Waiters for them.

i'd do that in a heartbeat. Pondexter is one of my favourite roleplayers: Knows his limitations and plays to his strenghts.

Why wouldn't you want to play Pondexter?
