Same thing with IT. What value would you place on Dipo in terms of draft pick?

On the subject of Oladipo...

Raptors Receive
Victor Oladipo
Dewayne Dedmon
Channing Frye

Magic Receive
Patrick Patterson
Bismack Biyombo
James Johnson
2016 1st Round Pick (NYK / DEN)

It's probably a pick between 8-12.

Johnson = no value

Magic pass.

I call it top 15. I really like him as a player, but in terms of trade value right now I don't know—his numbers (particularly shooting) for this season are bad, though probably skewed a bit. If it means anything, almost all of them except his assists compared with Dion Waiters last I checked.

He has value, particularly for his defense and his distribution, but I don't think it's as high as people originally pegged unless he suddenly learns how to shoot.

We have no need for Patterson if Frye is still around and rather have Frye than Patterson.

Tucker has no value to a team loaded with wings.

The pick is the only thing of value and the east is so tight that the pick could potentially turn into the 14th pick which also has no value to the second youngest team in the league.

Would Saric for Oladipo straight up be equal value?

Don't want to start a "Trade Value for Dario Saric" thread but to me it would seem pretty even?

sidenote: it would be pretty cool to have the two croations (hezonja and dario) together.

don't think philly would do it straight up, but i would guess the value has to be sort of similar?

As someone who's seen both of these teams at least a few times recently, this seems like a weak and very one-sided way of evaluating the trade. Biyombo seems like a better defense-first back-up big than Dedmon (who's not bad), and Patterson's like 6 years younger, cheaper, and more versatile than Frye. Frye is a better pure catch-and-shoot guy but Patterson is more mobile and capable of creating--though he's been cold most of he season. Frye at this pt isn't a positive asset while Patterson is. Johnson would be a useful throw-in too, more than capable of taking up minutes on a playoff team.

Oladipo being better than a top-10 pick is also questionable. Dipo's definitely better now than that 1st would be next year, but he's also not looking like a good starter at the moment and a top 10 pick would give you a solid chance at finding a player that's better than him. The pick will also be cheap for 4 more years, while Dipo only has one more cheap year before someone pays him big.

Not saying this is a great trade--I'm not attached enough to either team to have an opinion--just want to give Troubadour a better hearing than that.

I put top 15, but really, he's probably in that 8-13 type range, and that's just not quantifiable in the options listed. Would really depend on who's in the draft and whatnot.

That's a really interesting thought...I'm curious about it to now...i think it'd have to be close, but I'd imagine Orl would say no.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.
