Love it for the Suns. Go get the best players. Kinda like it for the Kings too since they want a perimeter player and those guys will fall to 13.

Its not awful for the Kings, but if the guy they want goes 11 or 12 ugh.

Like it for Phoenix because I don't think the #28 is worth much. Sacramento probably comes up a little light on value but adding picks when possible is smart.

The Kings have to get Bledsoe with that pick. Not a fan for them.

I think this is a pretty good deal both ways. Suns staff have a lot of confidence in Chriss, and as many people have said, this is a draft where it is okay to trade down. Sacto may get someone at 13 that is just as good as Chriss or close to it, and still come out with some other stash prospects to boot.

I would have taken Denzel Valentine, or just kept Chriss.

This is very interesting to me. I wanted no part of Bender and would have blown the 4th on Chriss as I suggested to fellow Suns mod not too long ago. I was also ALL for packaging picks to move up. This is EXACTLY the move I wanted.

Despite us taking Bender at 4, I really like this. Great job by our FO today. I think it makes a lot of sense for SAC too... but it hurt to hear that no one wants to be in SAC so I'm not sure those picks will be very useful to them. That team needs to clean house and start over sometime soon if they want hopes of being better in the near future.

I don't get the Kings pick at 13. Sure Papagiannis could be a good player but you already had 3 Centers on the roster... and the Kings currently have no PG' s to start the season since Collison facing domestic violence charges. I would have taken Wade Baldwin at 13.

So it's Chriss for Papgiannis, Skal, and Bogdanovic.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

To be fair, if Skal was taking at #13, and Papagiannis at #28, would people think it was as bad, since that was more their likely slot anyway.

DX had him mocked at (ironically) the pick the Kings got from Charlotte so from a value perspective it wasn't a huge reach. And I agree with the "if you like the player just draft him" approach.

That said ... wtf are you doing drafting a guy who can play nothing but center when you have the best center in the league on your team AND just drafted a PF center last year AND signed a backup center in free agency last year. I mean, Jesus Christ, it's like someone told Vlade that the new NBA style is small ball/positionless and he took it as a challenge.

just hoping the kings have a new mindset. no reason to "win now" so build assets, trade players when you get the best offer. obviously not as easy as it sounds, but the kings, under every front office, failed to gain valuable assets and rebuild. hopefully this is the time, because i really don't want to win 35-45 games next year. sorry.
