Jusuf Nurkic Trade offers

Post#1 » by youngthegiant » Sun Nov 6, 2016 12:26 am

Starting both him and Jokic just isn't going to work and I doubt he'd buy into a bench role. Any offers for Nurkic? Would want some sort of center coming back. Some guys I like in potential deals are Willie Cauley Stein, Nerlens Noel, Dragan Bender etc. Any offers?

The best you could hope for is Cauley Stein or Alex Len. Suns won't give up on Bender too soon and Philly would want one of your guards in return for Noel.

Love to have him in Portland, I'd say a combo of anyone besides Dame/CJ and a pick. If you need a C you can have Plumlee or Ed Davis

Don't have much but Henson/1st (top 5 protect?) for Nurkic/Nelson.

I would love for Ainge to facilitate a trade and Nurkic comes to the Celts and Noel goes to the Nuggets.

Noel to nuggets
Nurkic to celts
Rozier and '18 Boston 1st rd pick to Philly, this can't happen till Christmas when Noel proves he can play.

Hasn't Nurkic looked great to start the season and even better than Jokic? Jokic has still not seen major minutes and has issues with fouls, why not move Jokic off the bench and still have in there to ffinish games?

If you're basing this off of the Detroit game, it was one bad game and Drummond had a fire under his butt because of his horrible outing against BKN before tonight. And while Nurk sucked tonight, it was really his first bad game of the season. Those things are going to happen. So I think this thread is a bit premature.

This can't happen since it is a poor offer for Noel.

Nurkic is currently having a better season than any of Noel's so far. Id think that their values would be similar.

Boxscore doesn't look bad, outside of turn overs, 10&12, 5/8 in 20 minutes.
Jokič is rather underwhelming one this year so far.

Celtics should be all over this, closed to deadline, if the Nuggets don't compete for postseason, something could be done.

Ultimately I think Philly is going to have to take a deal like this or lose Noel for nothing... but there's no reason to complicate a Nurkic trade with the endless Noel arguments.

If you saw the game you'd know that Nurkic was a big reason Detroit got the jump on Denver and never lost the lead. Malone even sat him early in the 1st because of it.

Jokic's numbers haven't been great but he's also having to play out of position and it's been tough. Plus they're not using him correctly on offense.

The problem with this deal is that most of the teams that would want to trade for Nurkic would be looking for a consolidation trade, and Denver is so deep that that would be a hard sell for them.

Boston trades: Terry Rozier, James Young or Jordan Mickey, 2019 MEM 1st, 2018 BOS 1st (lotto protected), 2017 MIN 2nd
Denver trades: Jusuf Nurkic, Gary Harris

Celtics solve their 2 problems - gets a big man and a shooting guard
Denver gets 2 1st round picks, a second and a talented PG plus a free look on another young player

I would think that the trade would have to bring them back a PF/Center and not a developmental guy or another pg since they have drafted two in the last 2 years.

Now this hurts the celts some, but I still like it for both teams. Amir Johnson is a guy that can play with Jokic. And Horford could play with Nurkic. Then add the 3 picks and Harris or the Celts could add Zizic in lieu of one of the picks.

Denver solves a fit issue and somewhat of a logjam at SG with Beasley/Barton/Harris. Johnson will also be good with such a young roster, he is a professional and good locker room presence. The first being a little down the road is actually a benefit to the Nuggets as they are already trying to incorporate a bunch of kids now.

Nurkic can add a lot of what the celts need in a big. After the celts acquired horford, The owner said Ainge still wanted to add a more physical presence at center. Ainge knew then, that rebounding was going to be an issue.
Harris would be an ideal BU to Bradley.

I look forward to hearing from Nugget fans on this take.

I disagree. Nurkic is a nice young center, but he's hardly a guy at this point that you pool your assets for thinking he's a final piece. You could trade a young player at a different position for him or potentially a nice pick.

Now I still believe strongly that Denver should package him with Gallo to Boston for a package including either Brown or a Brooklyn pick as that addresses 2 major Celtic needs while leaving them with plenty of assets should a star become available and the Nuggets get another potential cornerstone piece.

Strongly disagree. We have no need for a guy like Gallinari and I prefer Brown/Crowder duo over him. Gallinari is not helping us to ever beat Cleveland. Brown may be that guy and has much higher ceilling than Gallo. Losing a BKN pick, that could be pure gold for Denver too, as there is quite high chance that pick could be another top talent like Brown. Not a chance Ainge considers this. Nurkic is a nice piece, but we are not giving a BKN pick for him. Would be a young player like Rozier + 1/2 non-BKN picks.
