This is a good get for the Wolves. I have to think they talked with him about this being a potential try-out for a bigger deal next year?

Don't understand it for either.

Supposedly Omri had a few teams interested.

Minny out of the playoff hunt.

Omri has currently been on a team friendly deal.

He's gonna sign with whoever pays the most next year.

He will take Belly's spot in the rotation.

He will get lots of minutes in Minnesota with Bjelica down, and this will showcase him more for his next free agent deal, which could even end up being with the Timberwolves.

Makes a lot of sense for both the player and team. With Bjelica out the Wolves were desperate for another competent rotation player, and the team could offer Casspi plenty of playing time and money (I haven't seen the deal yet, but the Wolves have $12M in cap space).

Is he signing a deal with a player or team option for 2017-18 in addition to the balance of this season?

Omri is a minimum value player, don't really see the fuss about him.

Which of those sentences argue why you don't understand it for both parties involved? I agree to all four statements, but fail to see why its not a good deal for both.

Casspi shouldn't be playoff eligible unless I missed something. He was on NOP's roster after 3/31.

Also, New Orleans massively screwed up cutting him. I will say more on this but it will result in a huge diatribe against Demps, Cousins deal be damned.

Zach is likely sidelined till the middle of next year and is hopefully eased back in.

There is a starting spot available next to Wiggs if anyone with a pulse can beat out Rush.
