Spurs:

C: Zach Collins / Charles Bassey / Khem Birch
PF: Victory Wembanyama / Jeremy Sochan / Sandro Mamukelashvili / Dominick Barlow (Two-Way)
SF: Keldon Johnson / Doug McDermott / Julian Champaigne / Cedi Osman
SG: Devin Vassell / Malaki Branham / Sidy Cissoko
PG: Tre Jones / Devonte Graham / Blake Wesley / Sir'Jabari Rice (Two-Way)

Spurs need to trim the roster a bit. Hopefully they make a consolidation trade at some point. Obvious cuts are Payne/Bullock/Osman/Birch (looking like Osman will make the team, still pending decision on Birch)

EDIT: updated on 10/2 as Payne/Bullock are gone and moved VW to PF as it has been made known that SA will start him at PF with Collins at C

Washington Wizards:

PG: Tyus Jones / Delon Wright / Ryan Rollins
SG: Jordan Poole / Landry Shamet / Johnny Davis
SF: Deni Avdija / Corey Kispert / Bilal Coulibaly
PF: Kyle Kuzma / Danilo Gallinari / Xavier Cooks
C: Daniel Gafford / Mike Muscala / Patrick Baldwin Jr.

Notes:
Backup PF Anthony Gill is under contract but will probably be convinced to move overseas.
Backup C Tristan Vukcevic was drafted in the 2nd round and could join the team if someone else is moved.
I expect Wright and probably one of Shamet/Gallinari to be moved by mid-season (if not this summer) to free up minutes for the youngsters.

Is there anything factual that hints to Dort being challenged out of his starting position?

Given how much roster movements we have I had went with just 4 confirmed starter , SGA and Chet for obvious reason . Next best 2 were Jdub and Giddey.

Obviously someone else could decide there’s only 3 confirmed starter or even 5 but I would like to believe there may be some small competition for it at training camp hence the 1 open roster spot and 2 additional player than a normal 10 man rotation.

It’s also an acknowledgement that we might still be a tad undersize.

Memphis is going to be a little in flux with Ja being out to start the season and having an open audition at SF and backup PF:

While Ja is out:

PG: Marcus Smart / Derrick Rose
SG: Bane / Kennard / Konchar
SF: Kennard / Zaire/LaRavia/Roddy / Konchar
PF: JJJ / Aldama / (one of LaRavia/Roddy/Loften Jr)
C: Adams / Aldama / Tillman

While Ja is out to start the season Kennard is likely going to open the season starting at SF while we give all 3 of Zaire/LaRavia/Roddy a chance to win the starting spot, Roddy likely the favorite but could go a lot directions here. If one can emerge then that will likely push Kennard into a smaller role at SF where he gets most of his minutes at backup SG when Ja is back.

Ja back:

PG: Ja / Marcus Smart / Derrick Rose
SG: Bane / Kennard / Smart /Konchar
SF: (One of Zaire/LaRavia/Roddy) / Smart / Kennard / Konchar
PF: JJJ / Aldama / Clarke /(one of LaRavia/Roddy/Loften Jr)
C: Adams / Aldama / Tillman

Once Ja is back that will push Smart to getting all the backup PG minutes with the rest of his minutes likely coming at SF. Rose likely DNP. If one of Zaire/LaRavia/Roddy can win minutes they will play over Kennard and Konchar is out of the rotation, it they cannot they could all be out of the rotation. If Clarke has a productive return then he is likely back to playing 20-24 minutes, further pushing Roddy and LaRavia out of the rotation at PF and reducing Adams minutes likely down to the 20 range. I think Aldama is ticketed for 25+ minutes at PF/C no matter what else happens with the rotation this year.

Closing lineup most games. Likely only PF the spot that is not set and could change depending on matchups/health.
Ja/Bane/Smart/Aldama(Clarke)/JJJ

Phoenix Suns

Booker/Goodwin/S. Lee
Beal/Gordon/D. Lee
Okogie/Watanabe/Wainwright
Durant/Bates-Diop/Bol
Ayton/Eubanks/Metu

Booker, Beal and Gordon are going to get the bulk of the guard minutes. Damion Lee/Goodwin and Eubanks/Metu are will compete for minutes. However, the most interesting depth chart question all season is going to be the forward rotation

Who starts next to Durant and Ayton in front court is the big question. Okogie is a plus POA defender and that’s probably the most important need from a fifth starter but his shooting is streaky. KD/KBD/Ayton creates an intriguing big lineup for certain matchups. Watanabe may turn out to be the best fit of the three as a decent defender and good shooter.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Only 13 guys on the full roster, will likely pick up a 14th player at some point.

If we put everyone into only one position on the depth chart (italics = two-way):

Garland/(Rubio?)/Jerome/Porter Jr.
Mitchell/LeVert/Merrill
Strus/Okoro/Bates
Evan Mobley/Georges Niang/Dean Wade
Allen/Damian Jones/Isaiah Mobley

Typical rotation assuming no changes before the regular season:

Garland/Mitchell
Mitchell/LeVert
Strus/Okoro
EMobley/Niang
Allen/EMobley

The Cavs have enough room under the tax to put somebody on the minimum in the 14th roster spot and then promote a 2-way guy or make a minimum deal towards the end of the season. The most obvious missing piece is a strong plus rebounder at their position, ideally playing the 3 or the 4.

Rubio's status is a wildcard both in the lineup and for the financial moves the Cavs could make once resolved-- Rubio could come back and be a rotation guy; he could come back and only collect checks, or not come back but still collect checks; he could retire, opening up room under the tax; he could ask for a buyout, giving the Cavs less room; he could allow himself to be traded before retiring or taking a buyout from another team, letting another team cut salary while returning a guy.

Detroit

PG: Cade Cunningham / Monte Morris / Killian Hayes / Marcus Sasser
SG: Jaden Ivey / Alec Burks / Joe Harris
SF: Bojan Bogdonovich / Ausar Thompson
PF: Isaiah Stewart/ Isaiah Livers
C: Jalen Duren / James Wiseman / Marvin Bagley III

There will be a lot of guys floating between positions - Bojan, Ausar, Livers, Stewart, Bagley

Some position battles which could lead to trades: Morris-Hayes, Wiseman-Bagley

I'll take a shot at the Bucks. The only real question for the starting 5 is at SG, how the young dudes on the wing factor into potential rotation minutes, which very much remains to be seen.

At PG there is no depth behind Jrue Holiday, that can change if the rook Andre Jackson Jr can play some there - he's uber athletic and a very smart player that does a lot of things well, except shoot the ball. AJ Green CAN shoot the ball but I don't think he has enough ball skills to be anything but a backup wing, although would love to be wrong. TyTy Washington could factor in. Lindell Wiggington is just a guy and likely not a factor.

At wing there's vets Khris Middleton, Pat Connaughton, Grayson Allen, Malik Beasley that likely get most of the minutes, but the hope is that young guys like Marjon Beauchamp, Andre Jackson Jr and AJ Green emerge to be rotation options. Probably a toss up if Allen or Beasley start at the 2, Pat C is an option but probably better off the bench.

Bigs rotation is pretty straight forward Brook Lopez, Giannis and Bobby Portis will play the bulk of the bigs minutes. Jae Crowder likely factors in some at the 4 and some at the 3. Back up bros Robin Lopez and Thanasis are just there for the vibes.

My best guess at this point:

Jrue Holiday/Andre Jackson Jr (may be wishful thinking but I love the kid)/TyTy Washington
Grayson Allen/Malik Beasley/AJ Green
Khris Middleton/Pat Connaughton/Marjon Beauchamp
Giannis/Jae Crowder/Thanasis
Brook Lopez/Bobby Portis/Robin Lopez

Overall I think the Bucks would be thrilled if any of the young dudes play their way in to the rotation but if not, I think that top 8/9 rotation is pretty set.

LaMelo Ball/Theo Maledon (2W)/Frank Ntilikina (UNG)

Terry Rozier/Cody Martin (potentially still injured)/Nick Smith Jr/Bryce McGowens/James Bouknight/Edmund Sumner (UNG)/RJ Hunter (UNG)/Amari Bailey (2W)

Gordon Hayward/Brandon Miller/Leaky Black (2W)/Miles Bridges (probably out indefinitely again or cut)

PJ Washington (RFA)/JT Thor/Nathan Mensah (UNG)

Mark Williams/Nick Richards/[James Nnaji is probably going back to FC Barcelona this year]

--

Hornets need frontcourt depth at PF/C after recent developments with Bridges (who I think it's fairly safe to assume he's not playing for a long time past his current 10 game suspension) and Kai Jones. Bouknight has just had knee surgery and apparently Cody Martin is STILL not fully ready for action after an opening night knee injury LAST YEAR, and yet we still have an embarrassing amount of SGs.

If Bridges is out of the picture, the Hornets are down to only 6 players that can be relied for any type of actual production, one of whom is a rookie. We are screwed lol. I don't want to tank again, and we won't if LaMelo is remotely healthy, but I'd consider playoffs out of reach.
