Markkanen + Kessler for Sengun+?

Utah resets timeline until their pick debt expires and pick up a younger building piece. Houston get the better player now to win with

Is something around Bane or Ja possible?

No lol, Grizz are not breaking up the big 3 especially for Sengun. The trade package would be picks based.

You'd be making a new big 3.
Ja/JJJ/Sengun or Bane/JJJ/Sengun

I think Sengun+FVV+FRP for Ja is a good deal for both.

Grizz are not trading a superstar for an emerging star and an undersized pg. With our assets we can go after a big 4 so hard pass.

Sengun would be great with JJJ. Rockets don’t need a picks package however.

What win-now player do Rockets need? Grizzlies and Rockets have picks to send said 3rd team.

That is interesting.

Adams + Sengun + Whitmore + #8 + _______

FOR

Markkanen + Kessler + #28

I think the blank is at least Nets 25 swap that Ainge would love to combine with all his owed 25 draft capital.

If Rockets let Green and Tate walk (club options), plus cap relief of trade above, I wonder if they can afford Markkanen renegotiate and re-sign too.

Markkanen
Jabari
Brooks (but Amen ready for starting role?)

Sengun + FVV + Brooks + #8 + Future Picks (until Cavs say yes)

FOR

Garland + Allen + LeVert

Sengun and Mobley would be great longterm pairing with Cavs solving their PF | C positions for next 7+ years.

Allen | Adams | Landale
Jabari | Eason
Amen | Whitmore
Green | LeVert
Garland | Amen

It's way too soon to conclude that Green's improvement is directly related to the absence of Sengun. He may just be a young player who has finally just figured things out coincidentally while Sengun was gone. Perhaps Sengun's absence gave Green the confidence to take the next step, but now that he has made that step, I don't see any intrinsic conflict in their style of game that prevents them from playing together going forward. There's no chance Houston trades Sengun yet. They'll wait until next year and see how things go.

What may be happening is that Sengun's absence has allowed Amen Thompson to blossom. If there's ever a trade, it'll be to resolve the issue that those two guys can't play together since both are non shooters. I'm sure Houston is going to take some time to figure it out though.

I seriously doubt the Rockets are making any major moves before they see what this team can do next season (along with a likely Top 10 pick from Brooklyn or whatever they trade it for):

C - Sengun, Steven Adams, Landale
PF- Smith, Eason
SF - Brooks, Tate
SG - Jalen Green, Whitmore
PG - VanVleet, Thompson

They are currently without 4 of them and doing alright.

The Cavs really shouldn’t go for a 4th straight year with the idea that Mobley is a 4. It’s just not working.

1. I don’t agree with this.

2. If you feel that is the case, trade him. PF’s that can’t shoot and struggle to put the ball on the court are really tough to win with. Trade Mobley to a team that does think he is ready. Mobley at the 5 has all-NBA potential.

Then they should trade him. Allen is a top 10-15 center in NBA. Sorry Mobley.

Mobley needs to be ready now. Deep end for the big boys. But I think Cleveland should test the market for both, and trade the one who brings them a better return. The other is the starting C.

Interesting idea but I think it favours the Rockets.

How fast are they willing to accelerate the process?

Is something around Sengun and Embiid even a remote possiblity?

I honestly think if you add Amen, Jalen Green, and the 8th pick the Sixers probably still say no.

Not to derail the thread, but I think some good offers for either one.

As someone said, I don’t see this as a can Sengun/Green fit together as much are the Rockets better with Amen/Green starting with a shooting center. Amen, as he is now and probably the foreseeable future, is a non-shooter. A team can get away with playing one non-shooter, usually your center. In the modern NBA, you need to surround that guy with four shooters.

Sengun and Amen don’t fit. It’s not that Sengun is a complete non-shooter, he’s just not a good shooter. Plus, Thompson has to work as a cutter/dunker spot guy, which conflicts with where Sengun likes to play.

So, the question becomes are the Rockets better with Sengun or with Amen in the starting lineup? Seems like it’s Amen.

We are not interested in trading a core piece only a pick package and salary filler. Also Sengun is not the ideal fit here in Memphis either but if we’re to pursue him it would be with picks not players
