Off-season deal: Toronto/Sacramento/Detroit

Ill offer this idea for:
-Toronto to get something for Bruce Brown. They take a flyer on a SG/SF and get back to distant 2nds
-The Kings get a more defensive minded SG/SF off bench as they create more flexibility to re-sign Monk
-Pistons add a shooter in mid 20s to align with existing core in leveraging a portion of their cap space

Assumptions:
-Gary Trent Jr. re-signs in Toronto taking him off market for Pistons.

To Toronto (Trade Brown)
-Chris Duarte (1 year, $5.9 million plus Q.O.)
-2028 New York 2nd round pick via Detroit
-2029 New York 2nd round pick via Detroit

To Sacramento (Trade Huerter, Duarte)
-Bruce Brown (1 year, $23 million)

To Detroit (Trade 2nds)
-Kevin Huerter (2 years, $34.8 million)

Why?
-Raptors get at least a couple 2nds to complete the Siakam deal in leveraging the Brown team option. Duarte can play behind Trent and Dick.

The OP isn't bad, but it is overpriced for the Pistons and too generous for the Raptors

As a Raptor fan, I'd like to get something for Brown, but I don't think he's playing up to his contract -- and that means no one is going to pay SRPs to take him. He has negative value at $23M. So the best way for Toronto to recoup some value is to release him, and use the cap room to acquire an asset or two that fit around Scottie (ages roughly 19-26)

For Detroit, I know we have a ton of cap room (over $60M if we release Fournier), and we'll have to fill it with something. Huerter would be a fit, even if it's not our top priority of veteran forward(s) to provide leadership. But we absolutely shouldn't be frittering away picks or cap space when we haven't really got an identified core. I'd much, much rather use cap space to take on a bad contract along with a tasty asset or two.

Detroit needs shooting, but there will be a variety of shooters available in FA, including Monk for slightly more than they would be paying Huerter. There is no reason for them to be part of this deal. As to Sacramento, they can simply trade directly with the Raptors, sending Huerter and Duarte for Brown. That said, I'm not sure Toronto makes this deal unless there is some draft capital attached. Portland's 2025 2nd might do the trick.

I don't think the Kings would have the 2025 Portland 2nd as some barrier in this deal.

Huerter is neutral to negative value on that contract so Pistons shouldn't be paying the two seconds. It doesn't address our shooting problem, but I'd rather give those seconds directly to Toronto for Brown.
