Trade Zion for Claxton (snt) and go full steam with mobility, versatility, and shooting around Ingram, Jones and Murphy.

I know it's a lot to do with injuries, but NO feels like a team that's very much less than the sum if it's parts. Which would mean that there's real hope for a move that creates a better fitting whole.

Well they should never do this and this one of the strangest ideas I've ever seen.

Ingram just had a postseason that would make DeRozan blush.

I really don't see how you can have all three of CJ, Ingram, and Zion on the roster next year. It's pretty clear there's not enough shooting or defense around those three on the current iteration of this team. BI is the most logical one to trade but his value is at an all-time low after these playoffs and wanting a 30% max extension.

Are we ready to admit that Ingram is just not very good, or are we still pretending?

I think that's a little harsh, but it's pretty clear he's not a #1 option nor the guy you can just throw the ball to and say "go get a bucket" in crunch time.

Well. I am in minority then. Good luck with building around Zion.

If Brooklyn wants to go the 2025 cap space route...

Double sign and trade?

Jonas Valanciunas and Larry Nance Jr. (plus pick?) for Nic Claxton

I think all 3 will be on the opening night roster.

Ingram is significantly worse than 34 year old DeMar DeRozan and that's before you get into how Ingram is always hurt and has really bad intangibles.

And we've seen DeRozan and Ingram in the postseason... It's really bad. Wings who aren't skilled enough to get to the rim or shoot threes get forced into horrible shots in the postseason and give you nothing.

Is building around Zion ideal? No. But first option Brandon Ingram is a horrible idea.

Sounds convincing. Trade both.

Probably too much of a rebuild, but Pels kind of need it.

Zion + Murphy + LNJ + #21

FOR

Miller + Mark Williams + Bertans + #3

Sell expiring Ingram to highest bidder.

Williams
Herb
Miller
McCollum (kept for now because of negative value)
Daniels
Plus #3, probably guard who plays off Daniels best and takes over for McCollum.

Zion was 90% as good as Giannis by the end of the year, giving up on him at this moment would be pretty weird.

Hornets fan here.

I would only trade Brandon Miller for 4 players Jokic/Ant/Luka/Wemby

Not a chance we trade Miller he's going to be the best to ever lace em up as a Hornet.

That is fair - you should love your guy unconditionally. Just know those 3 guys if traded, Miller isn’t in their price point. Not saying all Hornets assets plus Miller is an insult, but players mentioned and Miller aren’t one and the same.

Zion for Melo + pick makes more sense for us.

Zion comes with a injury risk just like Melo. It wouldn't be smart for us to have them on the same roster.

I get you should love Miller but to say he wouldn't get Wembanyama, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander or Antetokounmpo is crazy or Banchero. There's probably 5-10 more names I could add.

I think Charlotte is overpaying a bit because you can't count on Zion to be healthy but I can see the framework.
