Big Deal, does it work? (Clev, Orl, NO, Chi)

Post#1 » by pipfan » Sun May 12, 2024 8:27 am

Bulls send Vuc to Clev
Bulls get random 2nd round pick (plus cap space, of course-to resign Drummond/DDR/PWill)

NO sends BI to Clev and CJ to Orl (or could be Detroit or another team who will eat his salary into cap space)
NO gets Garland and JAllen

Clev sends Garland/Allen to NO
Clev gets BI/Vuc

Orl (or another cap space team) trades a 2nd round pick and gets CJ for "free"

Bulls help their D. I REALLY want them to blow it up, but they won't. This deal could help
Ayo/CWhite/Carter
Lavine/CWhite/Caruso
DDR/Caruso/Terry
PWill/Caruso/Phillips
Drummond/#11 pick/random vet

Clev gets a real 2nd option for Mitchell (this assumes he'll commit to the team)
Mitchell/Max/BI/Mobley/Vuc

Orl (or someone) gets a vet scorer for free

NO resets their team
Garland/Murphy/Jones/Zion/Allen

Mitchell IS a 2nd option on a team with championship aspirations, and I'm not willing to drop from Allen to Vuc for a 2nd Robin.

Absolute theft by NO…absolute murder of CLE.

Not sure how Mitchell is SECOND option, I just watched a 7 game series where he just about outscored his whole team

I can see Cleveland moving Garland if Mitchell returns as the primary scorer and playmaker, but I can't see them sending Allen along considering Ingram's injury history (8 years in the league and has yet to play 65 games). Make it Garland for Ingram straight up; Ingram has size advantage, Garland has health advantage. New Orleans can find a center or run it back with Jonas V.

As pels fan i would take this and run as fast as i can. However Cleveland is not doing this, there would have to be a lot of picks involved for this to happen.
If everything is going well, expect an WojBomb

I had BI worth more than Allen and Garland, but maybe I'm wrong. NO could easily add some picks, and maybe Hawkins, to help Clev balance it out.

I like Vuc/Mobley for Clev

this seems like a no-brainer for NO. Unfortunately value seems way off for cleveland.

If mitchell resigns, I can see a BI for Garland deal, but given the contract situations I see NO having to add value

Vuc to cleveland seems like a non-starter

Maybe I'm way way off on Ingram's degree of success vs salary/availability...but I'd think CLE might trade Allen OR Garland straight up for Ingram. Better fits on both sides too.

As a cavs fan, I am completely ok with trading garland and Allen. The Cavs just don’t need another center coming back. I know vuc can stretch the floor, but Mobley needs to be at the 5.

Did people not watch the OKC series?

Ingram was not good. He has no good games. He's on an expiring deal and wants a max salary.

Mitchell's contract status needs to be addressed, but other than that the Cavs should be perfectly fine running it back. They're a young team missing Allen that's currently in a dog fight with the Celtics in the second round. They don't need to make a move unless Mitchell forces the issue.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

The Cavs should only be paying rental pricing on BI and Vuc is a bad asset. This isn't even close.

You're better at blowing it up

Ayo starts of Coby? Do you hear a foghorn, that's the boat you missed.

Even the Bulls know that the team they had the last 3 seasons lost and can't return. To think that trading Vucevic for nothing is going to get them 10 more wins shows you aren't listening to AKME.

*Second option on a team with championship aspirations. This current team is nowhere near that as constructed, and in fact I prefer the pre-trade for DM team better.

Cleveland breaks their phone in an attempt to hang up quickly. BI doesn’t have that value.
