What would you give for Drew Gooden?

Post#1 » by LiquidFire » Sun Jan 6, 2008 1:47 am

I know magic, cats, bulls?, Warriors and maybe suns Probably more need a big man that can rebound.

I dunno what the cavs are looking at, probably a defensive minded gaurd who can shoot the three ball good and take care of the ball. Or another big man in return.

I dunno, what would you give up for Drew "the Goods" Gooden.

Oh, and before you say anything about his patch of hair on his head, its long gone, but his beard is a different story

i dunno, id rather have verajou starting. he seems to have better chemistry, and seems to play better with lebron.

Id also like to see our younge big develope a big. they have good potential.

we need more shooters, considering we only have one... boobie.

also some more interior defense would be nice.

i think drew is good, but to inconsitant. and doesnt play a lick of defense

Cavs don't need or want him if he can net us a PG or sidekick to LeBron...

But we need a viable big man if he were to leave...

That's always been the problem. The Cavs need to turn one asset into two, since most of the non-Gooden pieces they can add have negative value.

How about a deal with NYK:

Gooden and Hughes
for
Randolph and Fred Jones (expiring, defensive combo guard)

Any interest?

PASS

Gooden is the main assest to get either a PG or a legit scorer... And it accomplishes either... And we get Randolph? NO!

Fair enough, I don't want Randolph either!

Though do keep in mind that (i) Randolph is indeed a legit scorer (and rebounder), and (ii) you get to dump Hughes in the process -- which apparently was enough to make LeRydee23 cream his pants.

I don't think you can expect to get a decent big, a legit scorer, and a starting caliber PG back, all for Drew Gooden.

Or Kwame/Radmanovic/'08 First for Gooden/Marshall

Kwame gives you interior defense and Radmanovic gives you outside shooting. I know the wouldn't want to take Vlad's contract, but Kwame is expiring this year, and these fill the two biggest needs mentioned above.

Ryan Gomes, Marko Jaric, and Theo's Expiring Contract for Drew Gooden and sure, the Wolves will take on Larry Hughes' contract. Then maybe the Cavaliers will do something smart with that cap room...for a change.

I'd like that.. It's pretty good... Not sure how Odom would fit here though...

It's a lot better than many offers on here...

No to Suns deal, that accomplishes nothing and is a negative move...

Maybe to the Wolves deal, although it's highly unrealistic... We need pieces now...
