Chuck Hayes for TE??

Post#1 » by eslr » Sun Oct 12, 2008 7:31 pm

I seem to remember hearing the Rockets wanted to cut some salary and open up a spot on the roster for DEKE>

Would they trade Hayes for the TE? I can't see where he will be getting very many minutes this season behind Landry, Scola, and even Artest playing some PF. The Nuggets could use their TE on him and need some serious help in the frontcourt. Maybe Hayes for TE + 2nd rounder?

I tip my hat to Hayes, who has been a stone-cold winner everywhere he's played.

That said, Nets aren't interested.

One team that would show interest IMO would be Orlando. I'm not sure, but last I checked, they weren't over the roster limit (only 13 guaranteed). So, although they couldn't trade for a TE, they could do a 2-for-1, like Hayes/DJ for Bogans.

Well, they could. You're right. I believe that Hayes could be everything ORL fans want in a roleplaying PF. Instead of overpaying for Evans' services and tying up more salary, Chuck would be the smart way to go.
