CHA-NYK-GSW

Post#1 » by Sebzor » Mon Dec 29, 2008 2:40 pm

Trade ID #4894054

CHA get: E. Curry/M. Williams/K.Azubuike/'09 2nd GSW
NYK get: N. Mohammed/R. Bell/M. Bellinelli
GSW get: S. May/D. Lee/'09 2nd CHA

CHA roster:
PG: Augustin/Felton/Williams/Singletary
SG: Azubuike/Carroll/Brown
SF: Wallace/Morrison
PF: Diaw/Howard
C: Okafor/Curry/Ajinca/R. Hollins
==> getting Williams, would let CHA trade Felton for a backup SF or PF
NYK do it for 2010 cap space + get nice young player in Bellinelli
GSW team up there guards (Ellis-Crawford-Morrow-Nelson-Watson) and big men (Bierdrins-Wright-Turiaf-Randolph) with D. Lee .. they do 3 for 2 deal to open roster for Ellis's comeback

Warriors really don't want Lee either (and don't even think Curry :-? ).

Golden State is clearly trying to rebuild their team around their younger players such as Ellis, Biedrins, Wright, Randolph, Belinelli and Azubuike. The Warriors are willing to consider moving some of their veteran players for future value if the right deal became available. David Lee who is looking for a big contract extension this summer could help the Warriors as a backup center. But in this proposed trade offer the Warriors are required to give up two low costing young players in Belinelli who's starting, a rotation player in Azubuike and taking on the contract of a worthless Sean May. The Warriors pass on this trade as presently constituted.

GSW does not have an 09 rd 2

don is right....Lee's ending contract and the probability his next deal is $8 mill, maybe more, becomes a problem as GSW can't do more big or semi-big contracts. Low $ guys like Azubuike-Belinnelli are prety important in that regard. May's limited mobility makes him a pretty bad fit for GSW.
CENSORED... No comment.

I don't think NY would trade Lee to get out of a 3 yr deal & take on a 3 yr deal.( and a bad one like Nazr at that. M D will show case Curry & some one will give up a 2 yr deal for him.
