SAC/LAL/CHA, then SAC/CHI

Post#1 » by OhioKingsFan » Wed Jan 7, 2009 6:38 pm

First of all, 4 team trades almost never happen. This can be broken down into essentially 2 trades:
1st Trade:
SAC Out: Salmons, Udrih, Q Douby
SAC In: G Wallace, Sean May, Adam Mustache Morrison
Kings are doing this both to get G Wallace as well as to make room for Captain Kirk. Salmons is great, but he underwhelms when playing with Martin. Gerald should fit nicely.

LAL Out: Odom, Ariza
LAL In: Salmons, Udrih, Q Douby
Lakers improve PG situation without losing out at SF. Trade Odom for 2 positions of need.

CHA Out: G Wallace, Sean May, Mustache Morrison
CHA In: Odom, Ariza
Move Wallace for 2 solid pieces and less $. Odom and Diaw are interchangeable at SF/PF, and Ariza is a much better back up than Mustache Morrison.

2nd Trade (Kings/Bulls):
Brad Miller and 2009 HOU 1st for Hinrich and Noah.
Bulls have too many guards and too few centers. Noah seems to be causing problems. Bulls also get an additional 1st for this year. Kings now have a solid roster for PG/SG/SF. Let Hawes play some C, Thompson at PF, resign Bobby Brown and then draft best player available instead of a position of need.

Kings:
Hinrich/Brown
Martin/Jackson
Wallace/Garcia/Mustache/Greene
J Thompson/K Thomas/May/Shel-Head Williams/Noah
Hawes/Moore/Noah

Lakers:
Udrih/Fisher/Farmar
Kobe/Sasha
Salmons/Walton/Vlad Rad
Gasol/Vlad Rad/Mbega
Bynum/Mihm

Charlotte:
Felton/Augustin
Bell/Carroll
Odom/Ariza
Diaw/Howard
Okafor/Nazr

Bulls:
Rose/Hughes/Hunter
Gordon/Hughes/Sefolosha
Deng/Noccioni/Sefolosha
Gooden/Thomas
Miller/Gray

Don't like either one of those trades for Sacramento.
Wallace and Hinrich both have contracts that are too long for the Kings 2010 plans and neither one is a long term solution to what the Kings need.
Of all the preposterous assumptions of humanity over humanity, nothing exceeds most of the criticisms made on the habits of the poor by the well-housed, well-warmed, and well-fed.

Horrible for the King's

Value wise, it may be realistic, however, it would be one horrible horrible horrible GM to accept any of those deals for Sac. It kills any chance of signing a max player in '09 or '10, after that we will have to resign our draft picks to big contracts meaning no max free agent signing for yearrrss to come.

Hinrich/Wallace would help the team, maybe put us near playoff level, however it will be nothing close to what it will take to win a title. And with those two players, we lose hopes of ever obtaining a number 1 draft pick or a free agent signing.

The trades makes us mediocre and we stay mediocre for years to come.

If you think Odom and Ariza = Salmons, Udrih & Douby you must be smoking something. Why do we need LAL for this trade? Horrible for the Lakers. LAL walk away laughing. They are not going to disturb their chemistry and give-up arguably their second best defender in Ariza (behind Kobe). And for what; they are 27-6. Nuff said.

I like how you think. Odom and Ariza are much better than Salmons, Udrih, and Douby. You can keep Udrih and his contrict as well.

I must note that in 2010, Hinrich doesn't make much more than Udrih and is a fantastically better player, even with his downswing. The only major salary Sacramento has added is Wallace, who isn't bad himself.

Chicago has no interest in Hinrich and Noah for Miller.
