Bucks get the perfect SS type PF, we get and upgrade and cheaper SF. Save money and then have money for sessions

Toronto, cap room and upgrade the wings

Miami, get the true inside presence and get an outside shooter with a nice bench wing. Still have money for 0210

Sac get a nice run and gun PF and a first round pick.

Sound good? let me know

Miami gets hosed here. They want to add Banks to Marion for O'Neal, not add Haslem and have the joy of taking on Kaponos contract.

Welcome, WiscoKing

When Milwaukee upgrades two starting positions while shedding 2010 capspace, you know that someone else is getting abused in the deal.

SAC gets a fair shake value-wise, but don't really need Charlie with Thompson and Greene around.

I shudder at the thought of Jefferson and Marion on the same team, especially alongside Bosh and Bargs. Not a good fit at all. RJ works with Andrea, and Matrix makes sense next to CB$, but starting all four together would be a mess.

RtB already elucidated MIA's perspective. I don't think that this idea can be salvaged.

On the Kings part of real gm they seemed good with that part of the deal

The Raps would be dreaming if they think they'll win this year, all marion is, is dead money

Miami gets to upgrade the center position, clear room for beasley

Gives them a SF for cheap one year and Kapono worked before on the heat and he expires before the 010 summer

Miami can make the same upgrade at the center position without taking Kapono, whom they do not need, while giving up Banks and keeping Haslem. They have no desire to hand Beasley the starting job. He needs to earn it. As far as Moon goes, I'm not convinced he's any better than Yakouba Diawara, James Jones, or Dorell Wright the players in line to compete for Marion's job should he be dealt.

This is a very easy pass for Miami. It feels like they're being asked to give up Haslem for Kapono and Banks, and their is no need for them to do that...

So who would you want Tornoto or milwaukee to insert for Kapono?

Why would I want them to? Why wouldn't I just want the original deal with Toronto that saw us getting rid of Banks and dealing Marion for O'Neal?

Miami really does get hosed here, and Toronto pulls off one hell of a heist.

The Kings could use Villaneuva as a future 3/4/5. Greene is a future 3/4. CV would allow us us to trade Miller/Thomas this summer when they are exprirings and have high value. CV would fit in here.

I would prefer to get Ramon Sessions then Charlie. I could see Salmons for both of them especially since both are restricted free agents at the end of the season.

There is a 0% chance you get both.

Not enough, theres a rumor around where they trade Marion and Banks terrible contract. I'm sure that has a lot of merit to it and in this deal they also give up Haslem who is more then likely the most valuable player in the whole deal.

Look, taking Kapono out and adding in Banks would be a start. Then, however, you have to compensate us for Haslem and you haven't come close...

^Just curious for future dealings, what other players would you put at similar value to Haslem? He's a guy who's hard to get a read on

Tell me about it, because I fully recognize that he has more value to Miami than to anyone else. I genuinely do not know what it would take for Miami to give him up because he is so valuable to them. I would imagine it would have to be a matter of a ridiculous overpayment, not because he's worth it per say, but because he brings so many intangibles to the table.

How do you judge any glue player's value? Look at what Shane Battier drew in trade for Memphis. Look at the contract that James Posey got from New Orleans. Hell, look at how valued Horace Grant and Charles Oakley were. It's just not an easy call to describe his value...

Agreed, but I don't think Haslem is quite on the Posey / Grant / Battier level, although he is still fairly young

I disagree. I think he is exactly there. What he did to Dirk in '06 too often gets overlooked because he doesn't hit three pointers...
